Does anyone know if the 5pm rating for C5 News takes into account the very early finish it always has. I think it runs from 5.00pm - 5.22pm

From Broadcast:

Quote:
“Come Dine With Me is to stay on Channel 4 for at least two more years after ITV Studios signed a new multi-year deal with the broadcaster.

The production house has announced that it has “closed a new multi-year deal” with Channel 4 for new daytime and primetime episodes of the format.

C4 would not be drawn on the length of the deal. But it confirmed that the show, which first aired in 2005, would be on the channel “until at least the end of 2012”.

ITV Studios has also agreed deal involving a total of 120 new episodes with international broadcasters in Ireland, Cyprus and Iran, bringing the number of local productions to 30.

Ireland’s commercial channel TV3 has ordered 30 local episodes of the show, which will be produced by ITV Studios in Ireland for transmission this autumn. Cyprus’ public broadcaster CYBC has signed 65 episodes, which will be made by its in-house production team for broadcast early next year.

New Iranian broadcaster Marjan Television Network, which is due to launch the channel Manoto 1 at the end of October this year, has licensed 30 episodes, which will feature as part of the channel’s debut schedule.

The episodes will be produced in the United Kingdom by Iranian expats and will feature Iranian diners. It will then be broadcast throughout the country.

Tobi De Graaff, ITV Studios’ Global Entertainment director, global television distribution, said: “Come Dine With Me continues to prove its popularity on the international stage, increasing audience shares and becoming a long term schedule fixture in many territories. This proven global success combined with its extremely efficient and cost-effective production has created a very popular and trusted format for international broadcasters to commission.””

Do they include HD, it was a simulcast last night? Mind you many HD viewers may not have noticed, as the first couple of days play were shunted to the early hours on HD.

Also, this is the first series of Masterchef to be in HD.

171k including +1. It finished well above the slot average of 86k and looking at recent official data for Comedy Central it will probably go down as one of the top 3 highest rated programmes of the week on the channel.

Strong ratings for BBC2 from 7.30-10pm, particularly impressive for the Ryder Cup highlights and MasterChef Professionals, which was seen by a series high. The Commonwealth Games didn't rate well yesterday which I find quite surprising, but maybe the figures will increase throughout the week when the big events occur.

ITV1 had a really good evening with the soaps rating well, especially Emmerdale, and although just a day after DA it's unusual seeing an ITV drama gain viewers for episode 2. Should be enough for DCI Banks to be recomissioned. Real Crime also improved on ITV's 10:35pm slot average which has been doing terribly of late, with many shows rating below the million mark or just about there.

Good for C5 between 8-10pm, and as usual, The Inbetweeners held up superbly. Strong start for Mike & Molly too compared to the channel slot average.

Daybreak AIs for last week:

Daybreak ITV1, Mon 27 Sep, 06:00 65
Daybreak ITV1, Tue 28 Sep, 06:00 62
Daybreak ITV1, Wed 29 Sep, 06:00 61
Daybreak ITV1, Thu 30 Sep, 06:00 63
Daybreak ITV1, Fri 1 Oct, 6:00 63

It actually had the worst AI when Dan & Kate hosted on Wednesday, although it could've just been a natural fluctuation. Certainly there was no sign of an AI uplift when they hosted. And for once, Daybreak wasn't the worst AI-rated programme of the week... that title goes to Trinny And Susannah: From Boom To Bust which only had 58!

Hi guys, (rzt mate - easy!). Hope you don't mind me dropping this one in for your round-up:

Britain's Next Top Model averaged 331,100 (including Living +1) in the overnights. Share was 1.4%, but don't quote me with certainty with regard to the latter as I was on the phone and the fire alarm went off! I think that's right though...

In addition, would like to add that the ratings for House, on both sides of the Atlantic, make me uneasy. Numerous factors for this in the UK and US - not as simple as attributing merely to the House/Cuddy storyline.

Hi Gooneress . Thanks for the BNTM rating. We don't get Living TV ratings too often but that rating is well above the channel slot average and BNTM usually timeshifts well, so the official rating should make interesting reading.

This series of BNTM has been really successful for Living, officially averaging 510,000 (inc. +1) so far. That's 25% up from last year's series average of 406,000 (inc. +1)

DCI Banks did very well last night and a recommision is likely although I wonder will it be a series or another two parter. Spooks held up nicely too, The Ryder Cup highlights did good boosting Masterchef in the process while Five had a decent night with Gadget Show and Rory and Paddy,

Can I say for yesterday wow for both X Factor and Downton Abbey! Amazing ratings for DA gaining a million viewers, though it is truly an exceptional drama, and somthing we've not had on UK TV in a while. Cant wait for next weeks X Factor ratings as I know the tabloids are going in over drive over next weeks twist. I hope ITV put somthing good on next autumn if we dont have the X Factor.

Great ratings again for the inbetweeners, last night was definatley the funniest of the season so far, with great one liners.
I think that another series of them going to university may work very well.

They do include HD, but for the record:

19:20 - Golf: Ryder Cup Highlights: 75,000 (0.3%)
20:30 - Masterchef: The Professionals: 69,000 (0.3%)
21:00 - Horizon: The Death of the Oceans?: 83,000 (0.3%)

Yeah, I would think a return is certain for DCI Banks off those numbers. You would have thought they'd want a series. But then again I thought they'd be after more mileage from Unforgiven and Whitechapel too - and they didn't. I can never really see why - their 6-10 episode drama slate badly needs the boost.

Spooks is still doing OK in it's slot - and it timeshifts brilliantly (over a million for the first episode). It's going to provoke a reaction if they do make this the last series - though I could understand the choice.

Inbetweeners Series 3 ratings including +1
Episode 1 - 2.61m
Episode 2 - 2.49m
Episode 3 - 2.65m (Record for E4)
Epsiode 4 - 2.54m

Holding up very well, losing practically zero viewers which is very good. Well deserved too!

Sometimes it's due to availabilty of the actors, Stephen Tompkinson has Wild at Heart which they film during the summer but I could see them filming in the winter or spring before he goes back to South Africa. Both Whitechapel and Above Suspicion has taken the one story across three episodes format.

That really is amazing!

And in the officials it seems to be adding around 1m too. Including the channel 4 repeat on Friday night, ratings officially must be close to 5m!

I know The CW doesn't appear on the US ratings postings on here, but I just wanted to say that Gossip Girl got its best ratings of the season so far last night with a 1.1 and 2.12m

He might be filming a second series of his smash-hit New Zealand Baboon adventure so that may effect his availability.

Is "Extra Scrubs" currently on Digiguide meant to be Scrubs S9?

Apparently it was preempted so it'll drop in finals.

As for The Event, I expect it to keep on dropping.
