Hard to know what to make of No Ordinary Family when everything seemed to be down so heavily. Its not a terrible drop but a 2.6 isnt particularly good it cant afford much of a drop from now on. Detroit 1-8-7 is doomed, lower than The Forgotten in the same time period last season. But with The Whole Truth is lower and I dont think ABC can afford to axe 2 series at 10pm in addition to My Generation. Quite a slip for Glee as well Two and a Half Men had a 4.5 on Monday.

This piece explains why shows get axed so quickly. In simple terms, when a show underperforms, the networks have to make good to advertisers by giving them free airtime. While the networks usually sell most of their ad spots at the upfronts in May, some are kept aside and usually sold at a premium later. So what could have been premium slots end up being given away for free. And the longer they stick with a major flop like Lone Star, the bigger the losses get.
