Including HD it will be nearer 13m but that's only about even with last year. Definitely a bit lower than expected - ITV seemed to be down across the night. Also, didn't Strictly's Sunday results shows used to do better than the Saturday performances?

Still good for X Factor though. These figures dont include HD which will add around another 800k, and then I think the final Barb figures will reach 14m+. Same with Downton Abbey. HD will add another 500k. So still good, if maybe a bit down on last week.

X factor added 750k in HD last week and Downton added 244k in HD last week

So, XF about 1.5m down on last week, slightly underwhelming really considering last weeks figure, but still the number one show of the week by around 4 million! After the huge peak last week though, I wonder where all the viewers went, because the competition was pretty similar. The Cube held up very well indeed I thought, up against SCD which also did well. Downton probably just over 8m inc HD which is still better than the first episode, so still not lost any of its original audience even after episode 3. Excellent.

Awful night for CH4, nothing even managing 1m!! And yet another night where FIVE beat Ch4 comfortably from 6.30-12. Not including yesterday I think FIVE have beat CH4 in around 5 main (8-10pm) primetime slots last week!

I wonder if the breakdown will show a huge drop in the ratings around the time of Usher's performance?!

Last year's first live Sunday results show pulled 13.0m (46.4%) full slot, so I expect when HD is included with last night's figure it will be slightly up year-on-year.
It is down on last week's Sunday judge's houses episode which pulled 14.07m (48.5%) full slot including HD.

According to Barb in 2008 for the 12 weeks [the last 2 weeks results were live on Saturday night]that Strictly was on Saturday/Sunday in 9 of those weeks Saturday was the most watched.

Including HD it looks like Sunday will have just edged it this week.

Pretty impressive for The Da Vinci Code, especially considering it's the umpteenth repeat.

Slightly underwhelming after last Sunday I have to admit.

Phoneshop debuted with 271,100 (1.4%) on E4, level with the 12 month timeslot average of 1.4%. Bare in mind it was advertised heavily on TV that it was available on Channel 4 OD for 2 weeks beforehand so the overnight ratings may not tell the full story. That said, I would imagine E4 were hoping for more.

It seems to be getting much more attention.

15 min breakdowns (not including HD)

8-8.15pm - 11.99m
8.15-8.30pm - 12.12m
8.30-8.45pm - 12.36m
8.45-9.00pm - 12.83m

I have no idea when Usher was on, as I don't watch XF (an inferior product to Pop Idol/American Idol )

No it wasn't. Channel Five premiered the film in May 2009 and AFAIK it hasn't been shown again since last night.

Not the umpteenth repeat at all, not on FTA television anyway.

Great night for Channel Five, but very poor for Channel 4. Underwhelming for The X Factor, struggling it seems to build on the momentum it had early on in the series.

It's already more popular than Seven Days. But I still find this number depressing. At least this kind of trash TV is normally tucked away on little watched MTV. But now it's turning out to be popular on ITV2, I guess we're going to be seeing a lot more of it because it's a lot cheaper than making something decent.

917,900 is slightly better than I thought for the first episode,

It looks like Time Team was the most watched programme of the day on C4 with 1.42m including +1.

Not often that happens! Possible it may have been pipped by Deal or No Deal though, but no figures available for that.

Why is it peaking lower than last week's average?!

Pretty shocked at that rating for TXF especially after last Sunday's episode rating and peak. Will probs be close to 13.0m once HD is factored in, but still expected much more than that.

Usher performed at about 20.15.

It was fairly steady throughout - although it didn't really build to a big peak rating for the result. I suppose it's early days. The main attraction of last years show wasn't the result, it was Robbie's "return" and Usher was a really poor booking for the first live show, IMO. Aside from that, it actually had more tension than a normal first show - usually the bottom 2 in week 1 are just forgetable girlbands.
