Since the v23 upgrade my 9200 has behaved impeccably with all the old sluggish remote symptoms disappearing. However, over the last day or so I have found, on a random basis, that the machine has not responded to the remote's ff command. A time bar appears on the screen but nothing happens. All other commands work ok and interestingly the reverse command seems to operate ok. Having to sit through adverts is irritating but I wonder whether the software update has another bug? Has anyone else experienced this problem.

Can you use the commercial skip forward button? (a button with an arrow going clockwise)

Yes, that's ok. At least when I've used it for moving the epg onto the next day or so. Trouble is that this problem is only very random. It happened when playing back the last Grand Designs but didn't occur when playing back some of Friday's soaps. Prior to that it happened during the last episode of 71 degrees north. Thanks

It could be a symptom of file system corruption. I think the information for the time bar is stored in a separate file. I would keep an eye open for any other file system related problems (duplicate recording entries for instance) at which point you may need to reformat.

Peter, try changing the batteries in the remote, it worked for me.
