Went to see Peter Pan yesterday and had a fabulous time !
It was the last day too, so a big occasion for the cast and crew who gave their all, throughout was a very etering show! Couple of sample gags (Have you heard of the new boy band Sat Nav? It Only goes in One Direction !!! Or The Bonnie Tyler one? All it does is Turn Around and then Keeps falling apart!!!). Lots of classic songs (Its Raining Men, I'm still Standing , What a feeling and a particularly stirring - I'm So Excited), topped off with a show stealing "On My Own" by Wendy Darling, after Peter Pan had accused her of being jealous and then ran off with Tigerlilly, she sat on the corner of the stage, singing sadly, only for them to reappear mid-song in the balconey high above the audience, watching her, and when she saw them, she ran to the middle of the stage for the rousing climax of the song! There were a couple of very funny unscripted bits too, firstlt Ms Smee (The Panto Dame), in a scene where she was to hit Captain Cook between the legs with the handle of a broom, actually caught him for real
As she turned to us to admit while Christopher (Hook0 Tried to recover himself !! But the funnest moment of all was in a scene between Hook and Tinkerbelle, when Hook forgot his lines and had to be prompted by Tinkerbelle who had to tell him what his next line was !!!
Talking of whom of course, Nikki never fluffed a line once, despite Christphers antics (he also called Tinkerbelle - Nikki at one point
LOL The Who Is She? Song an airing, please to say! Nikki was was simply the star of the show,, whenever she came on the mood rose. She als spotted me during the finale, which was nice, her reaction was even niicer....
< Thats what she was like, VERY surprised and pleased lol, she jumped a mile, very startled with her hand over her mouth and pointing me out to her fellow cast members !
Afterwards, Nikki was first out to meet everyone, and i do mean everyone, i think the entire crowd wanted to meet her, i don't think they wanted to meet anyone else ! People only queued up for Nikki then were off lol. Funniest thing was Nikki spotted me coming out of the auditorium and pushed her way through the crowd to meet me! It was lovely ro see her looking so well and happy, all she was worried about was if i had a programme, and whe i said i had forgotten to get one on the way in, she said she would check to ee if any were left, which there were, it was only then she went back to the queue to contiue posing for pics and signing! She was very patient with everyong and especially good with the kids, she kept coming back to me in between though lol I never noticed if the guy from the XF (who played Hook) came out at the start, i only noticed him stood in the coorner as the last few people were leaving, i never saw anyone ask him for a pic or sig !
