Yesterday got a Le Coq Sportif polo shirt in white with thin blue stripes, £9.99, from TJ Hughes. It was the last one in size small.

wow - I have NEVER spent money like that on myself. I wish i earnt enough money to be able to afford stuff like that.
Im currently agonising over spending £35 on a pair of boots for work. A lot of my new colleagues are high earners, and a fair few of them wear 'designer' clothes and shoes, so I'm cheap compared to them. There a couple of extremely impressive Christian Louboutin collections in the office ![]() I don't earn lots of money, and I certainly don't live an extravagant lifestyle! |

None of those items are particularly expensive (in my opinion, anyway) when I consider how many times they'll be worn. I've recently started my first full-time graduate job, so am having to invest in decent work clothes, which I don't mind doing considering how much of my life is now spent at work. I don't usually buy many clothes at all, generally only a couple of items per month.

I have always felt guilt at spending money on me. I was thinking today that i have to get a new work skirt. I bought two skirts in Peacocks (they were £14 each) over 2 yrs ago. they are identical, and i have worn them for work every single day since. They are starting to look a mess now though as they have been worn / washed too many times. But the thought of buying a new one fills me with fear. I have one pair of summer shoes for work, one pair of winter shoes. I have 5 tops for work that have been bought from ASOS, and i wear them until they fall off me and then buy a few more. I really have never felt a passion for clothes, and i admire others who have. I would love to look / feel good in well made clothing .... but i dont. |

I bought some boots last night from the Marisota catalogue. Leather knee length ones. The ones that were cheaper were too small on the calf (always a problem) so i had to spend more money to get a pair that would fit.

Love it! It's mostly the free delivery codes that I love to find, because that really puts me off buying things online, especially when it's something cheap, which with a normal delivery price of say a fiver, would be double the item price.
I just bought a pair of jeans from asda, straight cut and dark blue. Also 2 bras, I wore my others to death, and matching knickers for one, oh and slippers...also from asda. |
