I don't get why you're so confused. All uni's do this. You don't have to be studying sport to wear one. I have a t-shirt with my university on it.

I've ordered a dark blue Merino wool v-neck sweater from La Redoute. How dull does that sound... but I love classic things like that. Looking forward to wearing it with white trousers once it gets a bit warmer...
