Would much prefer to see an ultimate Champion of Champions show, pitting all the champions to date against each other.
Now that would be a competition!

Like these ideas better than the Beeb's idea.

This would be brilliant as the runner-ups on strictly are mostly the ones who were the most competitive.

That could be quite good: team winners against team runners-up or team series X against team series Y or something like that.”

I liked the DOI special never understand why it was really well - received. Craig vs Bruno's team would be funny or
having a DWTS vs Strictly with Brendan and Maks as captains would be good

Visions of Evan Holyfield dancing a jive with Karen 'shudders' almost as bad as Lisa's freestyle

Winners would be good but unlikely.

Another idea would be to get the people who made it to the semis therefore Gethin, Austin, Aled, James, Emma, Ali & Lesley and they could do a christmas freestyle.

I think it would be a shame..

We kind of get to know and love the celebs that have done the 'journey' and its a treat to see them one last time over Christmas..

Boo rubbish idea BBC, and the thought of Sharon Osbourne.... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Shame is there is a good show out there somewhere. If fit, Austin and Mark are in dance enabled mode following the tour, Ali's just finished months dancing in the WestEnd, Jill leaves Legally Blonde on 23/10 and her dance routines there are TV watchable in themselves. Add another boy and girl and/or the last 2 from 2011 and you have an outstanding competition.

I usually find the Xmas special quite boring, so i would welcome these two suggestions:

I think the Christmas special can be a bit of a re-hash of the current celebs doing a routine that they've been doing in competition anyway except it's not as good usually. Sometimes it works for example Ali and Brian's VW was superb and it's nice they got the cognition for it. The problem is that you tend to get the same old faces doing it which gets a bit dull after a while - it's why I'm not keen on a champion of champions it's been done before.

I like the idea of a runner's up competition and especially the just missed the final contestants doing a showdance - how many people on here are miffed because they never got to see Austin or Gethin do one - there are other candidates too Aled Jones, Ali Bastan, Louisa Lytton, Emma Bunton (not a huge fan of hers but Darren could come up with something interesting no doubt) even Kelly Brook (she didn't miss out in the conventional way but still) . It would mean we'd possibly seen something a bit different too - Jill Halfpenny getting to do the American Smooth which she'd not had a crack at before made for an interesting Crimbo a couple of years ago.

Personally I actually think having different celebs doing the Crimbo special isn't a bad idea but we'll see how it works out.

I quite like the idea of this with bigger stars taking part over a shorter run

Maybe they could have a Christmas Special involving winners/runners up from the various Strictly competitions from around the world? I think that could be rather interesting!
