ITV player only recording ads!

Am trying to download a prog on ITV player and it keeps on recording ads only, regardless of when during the prog I click on 'download this video'. Any help would be much appreciated

ITV Player has always done that on certain programmes. The problem has been around for about a year and still never been fixed. ITV claim it's a problem with peoples browsers not ITV Player yet many have had the same problem.

Have contacted ITV and got foll reply!!??:-

'The ITV Player service is only available as a 'watch now' feature that offers viewers the opportunity to catch up on programmes for up to 30 days (for most programmes). We do not have any current plans to provide a download service, however you can stream our programmes online via the link below. You can also download some of our ITV shows through iTunes. Can you confirm where on the site you are clicking on ‘download this video’?'

Have any of you downloaded and if so, HOW?
