He has a good voice, and along with Mary and One Direction - is the only act I look forward to seeing.

I really hope so too, i was annoyed with Danyls song choices last year and the fact they stifled him so much he was a shadow of the person i now know and love, i really hope Storm can just be himself as you say and sing as we know he can. I love the fact that on his facrbook he lists most of my favorite bands and i can see him singing a bit of Bon Jovi, Queen, but i can see his voice suiting some softer, more melodic songs as well just like Jamies did last year.
Storm's definitely one of the best vocalists this year for me 
Hope he does well and hope Simon stops making him out to be so weird when he really isn't that much. I think he's just got a very good sense of his own style. None of the other overs really stood out for me to the point that I can actually remember them other than Mary. Hopefully these two will definitely be picked.

exactly, i couldnt even remember who some of them were!!! he certainly has one of the best voices this year and dont you get the feeling he may be the pantomine villain!! well it did Jedward no harm, and Storms voice is 44953095835 times better than theirs!!!

To my surprise, I'm feeling the same way about looking forward to more of Storm. His singing at Boot Camp won me over. (I also look forward to Mary and Aiden; I think most of us are looking forward to One Direction if only to find out how good or bad they are.)
He does look like he's meant to be cast as this season's panto villain, and the more I think about it the more I wonder if that's such a bad thing. In the short term, it might help keep him in for the first couple of weeks. After that, I think Louis will stand up for Storm if the stories/perceptions start turning too nasty. Perhaps the turning point for Danyl last year in that regard was when Simon stated on the show that he didn't believe the stories circulating, and that he would look into them—then never said anything else about it, at least on the air. It had the effect of convincing a lot of people that the stories were true. I reckon Louis would be much feistier in taking on behind-the-scenes gossip.
The key, as others have said, is for Louis to appreciate Storm's originality and refrain from stifling it. If they work well together, and if Storm continues to win new fans with each performance, maybe Storm could shock everyone and go all the way.
Isn't it sad that the focus of the show has shifted so much we're actually saying things like, "oh, he'll be the panto villain this year", like there are set roles? 
If only it was seriously just about talent (and a bit of personality too, I guess that is important) maybe we would find another Leona, but don't think that's going to happen. To be honest, if there were more people of her calibre around, they're probably very put off the show's format now, so they're not going to apply. Plus if they made it anyway they'd be "the Leona who made it without X Factor."
X Factor's more about good television now and good sales, so most serious artists who want to better themselves as musicians and build a long-lasting, successful career will see it as damaging, despite the fact they love to say "it's a good platform." Plus they control you after you win. :/ Unless you do a Will Young.

Totally agree with everything you have said tbh. simon shafter Danyl by not standing up for him totally that week, and yes the stories were allowed to circulate even after then. I always could believe that he may be difficult to work with but allowing the stories to continue as they did was terminal to his chances. Louis defence of Jedward was much more robust, telling the crown to shut up, defending them against the public etc so im hoping that if Storm has to go down that route of being defended Louis will, as you say, be far more voiciferous.
I think obviously the big difference is the voice, Storm can sing,and sing very very well, and as with Rhydian in 2007 you can overcome everything with the right song choices and the epic performances whihch he is very capable of doing. I love his wackiness and originality and i hope, as ive said with Danyl, it isnt sucked out of him!

No it wasnt it was totally the truth, there ae roles cast every year and you can see them now. I know the whole thing is scripted, that has come from previous contestants, and it irritates me. i can see that Cher wont win, she will finish 4th as the hate campaigns gron against the hype shes had, 1 direction at the moment are the chosen ones, Rebecca could be our shock exit, Belle Amie our Cannon fodder for the 1st week, etc etc Yes i see storm as this years Jedward, but i have a sneaky suspicion that as Jedward Simon likes him far more than he is letting on, and he could do far far better than people are saying. The public will always vote for someone Simon seemingly hates, i can see the comments now

but, i see it as a double bluff cos he can see the voice and i hope he outlives all the manufactured bands and him and mary, and matt and aiden get into the top 4 (not going to happen but i can dream)
Its going to be interesting to see how it all pans out. I think and hope that he will do very well and go far. I'm not convinced he will win it, I honestly think (based solely on what we know/what we have seen so far) that Matt is a good early bet for the win, but these things turn on a dime.
NO-ONE expected Danyl to survive as long as he did in the initial weeks with all the bad publicity etc...not even us die hard fans. Every week we were prepared to say goodbye.
I hope Storm goes all the way to the final.
Again, based solely on what we know of the talent so far, I would like to see him, Matt and one of the girls (NOT CHER!) in the final 3.

I was a big fan of Rhydian also (even though he annoyed me having a go at Danyl) and i agree Dan never had a sob story either and they didnt even mention about him trying out before etc

I don't really like Storm's image I found it distracting but loved his voice. I don't pay much attention to the arrogance stuff. That is part of the pantomime that the poor divils are encouraged to deliver (and what they don't deliver will be artificially superimposed on them afterwards, including through editiing.

and yeah i watched Saturday and thought stand still but the voice overides all that and just think he will have Brian (dear God!) working with him if he gets to he lives. :PYeah Jamie was on of my favorites in the end, and on tour he was hilarious had som good times with him and Danyl but worry he is going to be shafted like jamie was!

I suppose you could say the Louis was a genius when he picked songs for Jedward last series. I am in my mind trying to think of songs he could have sang if the themes were the same as last yr. for some reason i cant see him singing Take That songs :s I know he likes lots of 80s/90s pop, (from his Facebook, yes i am on there already!!) and obvs Rock week and big band week will be fine (who's betting that there wont be a rock week ths yr now!) movie week will be fine, i noticed one of the musicians he likes is Seal. Like Dan last year, i think Kiss from a Rose would be a good song!! You see I should be his mentor!!!!!!!!
