Hi
I too have just been sent a new BTVision+ box out of the blue. I am somewhat miffed it is silver and not one of the black ones plastered all about their website. Any ideas as to why they are doing this? Cheers Dave |

I received another box last week with the same message. According to the documentation I received, it stated an order had been made on the 14th September. As DaveX19 says, any ideas as to why they are doing this? I have loads of movies I haven't got around to watching and I'm a little bit annoyed I might lose them all (not going to get a chance to watch them all in 28 days). |

How long have you guys had BT Vision? What is the model number of your boxes?

Mine is a 9719 too - sounds ominous. I'm quite happy with my box and don't want to change it to a reconditioned one.

The new box is dit7421/05, not looked at my existing one yet. I am not going to swap over until after the City match tomorrow. I read on another forum that the replacement box this guy received did not work, which was understandably annoying as his original one was working fine. Quote:
Me too!

Apologies for the bump, but just received a brand new black box through the post.
Never had a problem with the old one, and haven't had cause to call BT for a while now. Not sure why I was picked! |

The newer black STB is much more responsive compared to the silver one.
Much better to use...

Got home from work tonight to find a new black BT box on the doorstep. Pity there's no new remote as my silver one has the soft silver paint peeling off the back. Still I plugged it in and after a manual re-tune all working perfectly,

Hmm so you get sent a new box to replace a perfectly working box and you have no choice but to swap over.
With the Pace being ran down due to DSO, looks like we will have to get a HD Freeview PVR sooner rather than later, especialy as BT is not very good at internet |

And BT not very good at internet ?? - yeah right

Why do people complain about such things ????. I bet if the box failed and BT didnt send a new box you'd complain like hell !!.

Its probably more to do with this, for a lot of those 'complaining'...
While its admirable that BT are issuing new(er) boxes off their own back, they aren't really thinking about their customers, who may have existing boxes, working fine, and full of content they wont have time to watch before switching boxes. |
