A favour ....
Instead of adding everything about each show to the "links to watch etc" thread, which is getting bigger and bigger, would it not be possible to start a new thread for each new week of the show? Only a suggestion - ignore it if you want!

That used to happen...I don't know why it stopped. That way the US-ers could watch and comment, and then the UK-ers who were slightly behind could just come on in after they'd watched the show. I think it's a lot better that way, too.

Good idea Kaycee, whoever is on first to comment could start the thread
![]() ETA: I'd forgotten the series had already started i wait for Watch, so maybe just start a thread Kaycee and people will then see it and comment?

I liked it when we posted our comments each week on a new thread, so one thread each week sounds sensible, but how do we get around the US and UK pace problem without having two threads? It's not like other shows where there can be a big gap between the two paces.
Any ideas? |

Well, we just call the thread Show/Date: US Pace...and then when people in the UK watch (either on youtube or on TV) they can come in the thread. Unless they want to be spoiled, which some people do.
Does that make sense? |

Yeah! lets just make it easy and have two threads, on U.S and one UK pace - otherwise I end up staying outta here till Friday (even though I obtain the shows as soon as they're up but because of work shifts we may not watch till thur or fri) in case I accidently see spoilers.
Did I explain that correctly? Wanna participate but not at the risk of seeing a result. Raven |

Warning, not sure if you guys read the awful Daily Mail on line or not, but don't look at it today, I've just found out who the first person to leave is by accident, grrrrr.
I'd like to add that I am in no way a fan of the Daily mail, I just look at it when I am extra bored in work to pull faces and scoff at their terrible reporting. |

Having one thread would work ok if the US posters remember to put their results as spoilers. And UK viewers could join in after the Friday airing.
This would leave other threads for general comments etc., without having to worry about seeing the results unintentionally. (If that makes any sense!!!) |

What's the point of having a US Pace thread if everything needs to be in tagged? Why would you go in the thread if you didn't want to be spoiled? IDGI.

Yeah, I didn't really mean that. I meant having a US paced episode thread that UK'ers could come into to see what's happening or can join in on once they've seen the dances/episodes.
I'm not sure how many people actually read the spoilers. Do most people want to be spoiled, see the dances on youtube, etc.? I don't really know. But not that bothered, really : ) |

Why not just carry on as we have been doing and start a separate thread to discuss the UK show on Thursday and Friday - which IIRC is what happened last year? Then anyone who doesn't want to know what's been happening knows to stay away from the Links to Watch and Read About, even though all the comments are hidden.

I just think that we are quite a small group and it would be good if we kept our discussions about the actual shows in one place.
I like Philly1234's idea of one show thread for each week which would be started by someone watching at the US pace and then the UK pace posters can join in on that thread once they've watched the show. No spoiler tags would be needed. Then the main thread Links to watch and read about DWTS!, would be for everything else and spoilers would be used as they are now for anything that is 'pace' relevant. PS So annoyed at the DM

Williamh has already started a thread for week 1 - thank you William - so that seems to have been decided ..... if we don't like it, we can always go back to using the one "Links to watch....." thread. Nothing's set in stone, is it? |
