Maybe River is the Doctor's wife, brainwashed into thinking she's an android?

Now I'm all in favour of keeping the profile of DW as high as possible, especially in the "down" months, I mean both JNT and RTD for all their alleged faults were consummately good at so doing, but...does anyone else feel that with the best part of a year (and a Christmas Special) to go, SM is starting to play on about this "explosive cliffhanger" just a little too much? If this carries on: how can it possibly live up to the pre-billing? Also, there is the small matter of the other 13 episodes that constitute Series 6/7...

Well, it's not as if the Morecambe & Wise specials were being handed over to Ant & Dec exactly.

It would be so funny if River indeed turned out to be an android who was programmed to think that she is the Doctor's wife!!!!!
Plus it would explian away her relationship with the changable headed auton!!!![]() ![]() That makes River.....AUNT SALLY !!!!!!!!!!! |

It almost sounds like Moffat has heard a load of people surmise that River is an Auton and is effectively putting a stop that idea.
Like the idea that there are a collection of beings involved with the Silence. Whilst Daleks and Cybermen seem to be more effective on their own a group of more sinister beings could work really well. |

I liked Daleks vs Cybermen but not on the same side. The poor Sontarans never got much chance to fight and they love a god fight, bless them
