Ann was having problems with the demands of the choregraphy for the group routine, when Vincent whispered ''Teapot'' to her! :
(Daily Express)

Apparently she then formed her arm into a pouring motion and it helped her move on with the routine.

Good on ya Vincent.

I'm not surprised that it was Vincent that had the creative thinking there.

Ann's now writing a column for the Radio Times, which is quite a good read (the newspaper article is an extract from it). She seemed to be hoping to get Vincent, and I can understand why. She is also very nice about Anton, but says she had assumed she was too short for him. She has a good word to say about Brendan too, who made things 'more comprehensible'.

Like a good Latin scholar, she managed to get a reference to Messalina into the article.

I'm a little teapot, short and stout
Here is my handle [one hand on hip], here is my spout [other arm out straight]
When I get all steamed up, hear me shout
Just tip me over and pour me out!
[as song ends, lean over and tip arm out like a spout]

Me too! I love it when choreography is described in daft phrases! Karen was doing it too in the group dance! What ever it takes to make it understood!

On Glee the football team learned a dance using phrases like 'Slap your butt!' Love it!

Remember The Full Monty and the Arsenal offside trap?

Thanks for that Abba and Buddy.

I didn't know I could do 'surreal' as well as Samba! I'm multi-talented! Yaaaay!

LOL - you just beat me to it! It's a little action song aimed at pre-schoolers

Doesn't alter the fact that it's surreal.

It wasn't a criticism, you know, just an observation - and an affectionate one, at that.

Vincent's 'shaking like a leaflet' is right up there with Lilia's reaction to the dance mat challenge, as one of Strictly's classic moments!

Just read the thread title and thought this was a bit of Strictly fanfiction with Vincent whispering sweet ( teapot related) nothings in Widde's ear, thank god it wasn't I was getting all sorts of mental images.

I loved Lilia's Dance Matt challenge and her on ITT generally. Why they binned a female pro with such a sparky personality is still beyond me.

The problem is that from now on when I see Ann dance, I'm going to be thinking "What type of tableware is she imitating now?"

I don't think that Anton teaches in the 'Teapot' method!

Anton may have to resort to all sorts of methods this time round. Making a teapot shape (just tried in front of the mirror) actually doesn't look bad. Although not so sure about chanting Ignazio's little rhyme.

I've just looked online and there is actually a teapot move in modern jive!
http://www.metacafe.com/watch/109032...ern_jive_move/

Some of the ballroom jive moves have silly names e.g I got the giggles when the windmill was explained to me!
