It's also possible the Beeb think that message boards are too old-hat, I know they were heavily pushing more funky social media last season.

So they may want to focus their "feedback" resources on Facebook, Twitter, all that stuff, rather than on message boards.
Exactly and it costs a lot less to use options like those you mention. Plus it kills two birds with one stone because the BBC can give out information (been pretty good this series so far imho) and get information back in the one place. I'm following on Twitter and it is addictive because I don't want to miss out on anything!

Does seem a bit self defeating for DS fans to moan about people complaining at the lack of a BBC SCD message board when the BBC are directing people here

Sorry.

I wish to represent the interests of those two poor murdered victims of lapidation, which is oh so mediaeval and not with it. Those birds were totally innocent.

I have prepared a 1000 page brief but POV won't allow it, so I am going to wrap the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square with these pages until someone sits up and takes notice.

PS I gather some people intend to watch the SCD show for the dancing this year - most unusual.

Why would you do that, surely it's not a dance competition.

Spoiler

Yes but they're directing people here to talk about Strictly not to moan about the lack of a BBC message board!

You have no idea! I had no internet connection for about 5 hours today and felt like my right arm had been cut off!

So what? It doesn't mean that we can't criticise them for doing so and for anything else we like.

Except that this is the Strictly forum so if you want to start criticising anything you like then maybe you'd be better off on a different forum.

Or maybe go back to the Non Appreciation Thread and stop winding people up

I lost my facebook access for a couple of hours. My productivity soared.

Obviously, we don't want that to happen again.

Anything strictly related on this forum.

Sorry I don't know what your last point means. I don't go on the Non Appreciation Thread. So what do you mean by go back?! Who is getting wound up? You? Perhaps you should stay in the Warm & Tranquil room or be better off on another forum.

There's obviously no point in talking to you so I shall take your excellent advice and leave you to it!

I'm sure there was a topic somewhere on this thread, but I'm damned if I can remember what it was.

Something about the BBC?

My husband would probably divorce me if he knew how much time I spent on message boards instead of working (from home)! How did we ever manage before the internet?!
