And being a cynical old git, I have to recall the reviewer (Not SM or MG admittedly) who told us that the last 10 minutes of "Sherlock" would have "jaws dropping" all over the nation...really? I mean it was good but hey, Holmes and Watson won't die so where's the "jaw dropping" moment? Concentrate on DW as a series of good stories, forget the Press briefings about cliffhangers.

I don't mind Rory dying as long as its not permanent. But I think it would be a mistake to make that part of the cliffhanger, because it's happened too often already. It would just make everyone unless it's done very well indeed.

If they turn Rory dying into a tradition then I would be up for that, it could add some humour. But forever? No. Would happily lose Amy over Rory.

I hope Amy doesn't turn out to be a young version or perhaps the mother of River Song.

Well maybe you are wrong and history will be rewritten, Sherlock dies in the opening scene of the next series.

I think Rory works with Amy, but might not work alone with the Doctor. However, I agree to a certain extent I prefer Rory to Amy.
