Musicians Thread
Please delete and direct me to the right one/place if there is already a thread or a place where this should go, but this is a thread for all the Muso's of DS! What instruments do you play?
I played violin to Grade 3 level between the ages of 8 and 12, self-taught piano and guitar but not particularly good at either, prefer bass guitar to be honest, and self-teaching ukulele (I bought one this afternoon) and I can already play "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz so I'm loving it My main instrument is vocals though - I do a lot of singing, mainly musical theatre but also contemporary - Rihanna, Amy Winehouse, Paloma Faith etc - and old classics like Journey, Luther Vandross and Queen.

I'm a compentant rhythm guitarist and can do a spot of drumming, and thats about it.
Have played in a few bands over the years, but my interest was really behind the recording desk, not in front of it. |

Violin to Grade V and that's it. I noodle about on a home keyboard from time to time but the violin has long since been snapped in two (forgot to take the strings out)

I'm a beginner on the piano. I love instruments but I have always ignored playing them.
If I could, I'd be a multi-instrumentalist, but I don't have the time now Perhaps if I win the Lottery! Most of my friends play something. Quite a lot of them are former music students in fact (sadly there's no jobs in music which pay well so they have other jobs on the side, of course). From college onwards I have always been exposed to musicians, but I never got into it myself (probably because I had the idea I was going to be mega rich if I studied harder, ha!) |

I play clarinet - I've done Grade 8 (with distinction
)I play in an orchestra and a few ensembles. In a couple of months I am doing a performance with a string quartet at a school concert which I am really nervous about. I play the recorder as well, and used to play in the recorder group. That was one epic recorder group. |

Grade V Violin and Theory, Grade III Trumpet. I've forgotten everything I know on them though.
Now I just sing, and I'm learning a few guitar basics for my songwriting. |

I'm a beginner on the piano. Been about 5 months now. I am really proud of myself by taking up a new challenge and sticking to it.

I'd like to think I am a drummer, though I haven't played my drums in a while, but I think I'm not too bad at it. I also play the guitar but I'm not that good, and I have a keyboard but I really do suck at that! I can only do both hands for a couple of songs but just parts of them lol.
