Hi There

To cut a long story short, a friend of my mum has 2 tickets for next saturday, but worked out she couldn't make it and has offered me them. Trouble is it has her partners name on the tickets

herein lies the problem, I don't want to go through travelling down to London on the offchance, for them to turn us away because of the name thing (it will be two girls going.)

So my question is, do they check the name on the ticket? I went 4 years ago, but I can't remember whether they did or not?

Thanks in advance, any help would be appreciated

You're probably best off going to the BBC Tickets website, here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/showsandtours/shows/faqs/

...and phoning their helpline number listed at the bottom:
0370 901 1227

They should be able to answer any questions you have.

Good luck!

Thanks, I did look there, but unless I'm incredibly stupid, or not good at interpreting the questions, I couldn't see an answer, I'll see about ringing the helpline tomorrow, thanks for your help though

If I was you, I would ring them but say something like it was a Bday present or something....!

I wouldn't bother ringing them - they don't check the names on the tickets at all. You should be fine. Have a great day!
(I've been to loads of shows at the BBC TV Centre as I live close by and they never check the names).

Hello!

I can say for sure you'll be absolutely fine with a different name on the ticket. Everytime I've been the Strictly there's been a different name on the ticket to my own and it's never been questioned.

Enjoy the show! - Jealous!
