A Companion From Fiction
What it says on the tin.
You can choose any character from any form of fiction as a companion for a Doctor. This could change daily for me, but tonight I go for: Richard Sharpe - Lieutenant, 95th Rifles. Doctor - PT. |

I'd switch out K9 for Bagpuss. Then, if I was being just a tiny bit more serious, maybe Raskolnikov or Holden Caulfield or one of their line with Hartnell?

Well, they're both so witty (Lizzie & 4) it would be bound to be funny.

Oooh, great thread. I would choose the Freak from Prisoner Cell Block H to travel with 6th Doctor. Just to slap him down sometimes.

Yeah, because "am I mad, in a coma or back in time" is technically a false, ummm, trichotomy.

![]() And I know its been suggested elsewhere before, but how about a Sherlock one - or rather the Doctor teaming up with Watson?

Genuinely love a Hyacinth Bucket character to travel with them as a permanent feature who maybe isn't an assistant but a secretary or a cleaner and lives in the TARDIS. You just see her every now and then with a duster and rolling her eyes at the Doctor's latest compantions short skirt.
Just there as a constant. |
