On the 13th April 2011, as part of the digital change over, Sandyheath will stop transmitting the BT channels. They wont come back until sometime in 2012. You may be able to recieve them from Talconeston, or another transmitter, depending on your postcode, or maybe you wont. Check Digital UK.com to find out.

I can see a lot of angry people phoning up BT to complain about this.

Agreed, although it isn't BT's fault. More the fact that the transmitter in question decides to stop those particular channels....

Talconeston is quite strong if I remember. when I went to Norfolk it seemed strong then.

I can't find the relevant information on digitalUK, but supprised they are stopping as COM6/ARQ B keeps trasnmitting throughout the switchover process.

It is not that strong, the signal cannot even reach the North Norfolk Coast effectively.

Enter your postcode (or a postcode relevent to east anglia, in your case) and view what channels that you can recieve, you will see that sky sports/BT loses reception on the 13th April. It is also common knowledge on the BT forum that this is going to happen, I just want to spread the word, hoping that if enough people complain, something might get done.

The problem with Talconeston, is that it would seem not to start transmitting BT channels until August 17th 2011, or I can't recieve it at my postcode until that date, again, acording to Digital UK.

It's not BT's fault, but I think they should at least try and do something about it. As far as I can see, it's the only channel(s) that i'm going to lose, The rest of the dross on freeview isn't affected.
