So, who is excited she is back? Big Finish aren't giving much away, same as with the new companion when they had situation vacant on.

It was such an amazing surprise for me, I adore Lucie. My favourite companion ever and I wish Sheridan had signed up for series 5 with Matt Smith. Somehow he could have found Lucie. Maybe.

So anyway, where the hell do you think this storyline is going and why is she with the monk? Ahh, so exciting. As its the final series I am hoping it ends with the doctor and lucy gong off together for a happy ever after until I realise he is soon to become Christopher Ecclestone so thats hardly likely.

I wish Sheridan had signed up for companion in series 4 or even 3.

She would be amazing and it would only take a quick 2 minute explanation about an old friend.

It was a surprise, wasn't it? I just assumed that the "actor" playing Lucianus had an unusual acting style and voice - I knew something was different about him but I never expected it was Sheridan in disguise.

I thought BF dropped the ball with Tamsin in "Situation Vacant". Having her assume another personality then get "fired" was just daft. I'm all for trying something different but Hugh the vampire seemed like a better option to me! I really like Niky as an actress, though, so I'm okay with it now.

Lucie's excellent but a definite Rose theft. Big Finish never bothered altering the "formula" until Eccleston et al came along. However, I prefer Lucie to Rose - Sheridan, as we know, is plain fantastic. What an actor! I'd have loved her to have been the TV companion but, who knows, even if she were offered, it might not be the kind of gig she'd want to commit to?

No idea where it's going. I'd rather not see Tamsin undermined by being replaced by Lucie. Don't forget, the Eighth Doctor will join the previous three (plus, soon, the Fourth) in the release schedule so there's no reason for any full-stops, storywise. I imagine the "whatthehell'sLuciedoingwiththeMonk" story will be resolved but we don't need to dump Tamsin just yet.

I know what you mean and i did think there was something strange going on. But instantly my mind is jumping to the Rani after years of fan rumours!

I agree on that one as well. First the reveal about her other personality, then the reveal about his, then the reveal about her. Come on. But I loved her in Catherine Tate and Benidorm so I was happy.

Again, loved her in Benidorm, two pints and the royal family. She was great in grown ups, but the rest was crap. Same with two pints actually. Legally Blonde is something I hated until I saw her in it. But as Lucie, oh i love her. She probably doesn't want to commit to but I wish she would. She is a hell of a lot braver and more outspoken than Rose, like Rose on speed.

I hate this to be honest. I love my monthly series but you just get into a doctor and off they go for a few months. With the EDA's I can get into a proper series with a thread and surprises and so much more value. I just love them and cherish all 4 series. I was gutted Lucie was leaving but I am so glad they kept it a surprise. Tamsin is great and I hope if it isn't Lucie with him in the monthly series then it will be her instead.

The Tardis wiki site says that she applied for a job in Situation Vacant as a companion to the monk but I do not remember that at all. Maybe another listen.

He's a Time Lord, so "soon" could mean in another 500 years.

The Wiki site isn't 100% reliable - anyone can add "facts". There's a particularly ridiculous one for "Smith & Jones" - something like RTD made Tennant say "Judoon platoon on the Moon" because Scottish people can't say "oon" as well as the English!!!

There's mention in "Situation Vacant" of another time traveller placing an advert but it's only in passing. At the time, I assumed it would be the Headhunter! I think the Wiki site is taking recent revelations and doing a little retconning.

I am sure that is true. Or it rings a bell anyway. I am sure I remember DT laughing about it on confidential or an interview. I might have dreamt it, but I am really sure it happened.

Ah, I had forgotten that. I am excited it has turned out this way though. Especially as Lucie seems so innocent in it and obviously never knew of the Doctor's involvement.

I don't remember the Confidential but I don't have any problems saying "oon"!

Well, we don't really know what Lucie's involvement is, yet. Maybe she thinks the Monk's the Doctor? Maybe she's still ticked off with him after "Death in Blackpool" and wants revenge?

In mockney, or just the regular accent?

I do believe you though. Private Frazer, not in any way a caricature, had little trouble with the similar "oom" as in "doomed".

Mockney, of course! I don't use my "real" accent around here, my dear fellow.

If its one of them then I hope it is the first. The second one would be awful, not Lucie!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess she gets exterminated at the end of the current 8th Doctor run. I have a bad feeling about where this is going.

Noooo! Please don't say that! I never even thought about that but oh God you are right.

Joking or not, I am just glad I didn't dream it.

So the latest audio story is actually named after the companion? So much for her presence being a spoiler.

Not true, they waited until the text message arrived and the monk reveal before they officially announced that.

Oh Lucie Miller, I actually love you more than any other companion in DW history.

I'm still praying we'll get to see Lucie and the 8th Doctor onscreen. I don't want them to kill her off, or if they do it should be right at the end of the 8th Doctor's own life, in the Time War.

Amazing, thanks.

I have been checking every day for a week now and checked last night a couple of times. Got obsessed.

In work now so I am going to wait until I get home, put my feet up and enjoy every second.

Oh Wow. I loved that.

I cannot wait for next month. Although I am dreading it as well, the end of the best 4 series of DW ever for me.
