Is there an elimination in week 1?

I'm sure I read somewhere there wouldn't be, but I cant remember.

Well if there isn't then there Will be a double elimination somewhere in the series.

One thing I think would be good to do is because someone normally drops out at one point in the competition if it gets to the quarter final and no one has dropped out have a double elimination then, because I prefer a 3 person final

No. Everyone dances week 1 and week 2 so we see all couples doing ballroom & Latin before an elimination.

Then one couple is eliminated on Sunday 10th (well, Saturday 9th, but it's not broadcast until Sunday).

And that means there is a double elimination - there are Friday and Saturday shows semi-final week so it'll most likely be then.

I also thought that it was live this year i cant se no other reasom for Bruce not to host if its on the same night

No, it's definitely pre-recorded. Bruce's excuse is that it makes the day too long and this way he can get home before Match of the Day

Never mind the fact that no dance-off means it won't take long to record - they'll record pro dances and the dancers will get changed while the phone lines are open and then it would probably only take about 10 minutes to record the result....
