Survivor 2010: New Who - Companions and Notable Characters Round Thirteen
Rita's Kabin
26-09-2010
Thanks to everyone who voted in Round Twelve

If you haven't played a Survivor game before and would like to join in it's all very easy. The idea is that, round by round you nominate your least favourite characters for eviction and the ones with the most votes are eliminated from the game.

The game then, is all about what you think of the characters that you can vote for. You should not consider how good the episode or episodes that the characters appear in were, just how much you like or dislike the character in question.

Votes can be posted on this thread or sent to me via PM. If you're going away or are unable to vote for any other reason you can always PM me a list of characters that you'd like to evict in order of preference.

You can also send your votes into the following round automatically. Just type "auto" with your choices & your choices will automatically be carried forward into the following round(s).

Anyway, on with the results...

Tied in first place, both on votes and cumulative votes from the previous rounds are Sally Sparrow and Miss Evangelista who both picked up votes from a third of you.

Five characters tied in third place with votes from 26.67% of you. Churchill has the most cumulative votes so he's first out whilst this round's batch of evictees is concluded with Sylvia Noble and Sir Robert who had both built up the same number of cumulative votes in previous rounds.

Nobody managed to nominate all five of the evicted characters, or even four, but well done to Tumpy who managed to pick four.

Sally Sparrow gone...that'll cause some fireworks...

I guess as this is two years in a row she has achieved modest results on here i guess far to say she is a more divisive character in fandom than might appear to be the case.

Old votes:

Mickey Smith (Noel Smith)
Bad Wolf / The Parting Of The Ways: Lynda Moss (Jo Joyner)
Victory Of The Daleks: Bracewell (Bill Patterson)
The Lodger: Sophie (Daisy Haggard)

New votes:

Midnight: Professor Hobbes (David Troughton) - a well portrayed character, but I feel his character was no more significant than many of the other supporting cast that didn't make this list, so it's time for him to go now I feel.

Jackie Tyler (Camille Coduri) - on the whole i liked Jackie, but at times the character was a little annoying.

I think due to Sigma being important to the end of the Tennant era he might edge up a place or two this year.

Oh, there's little doubt she's a divisive character, and in a Survivor cometition such characters aren't likely to do well as their supporters can't do anything to help them. Of course the vote has no significance and is all just for fun but I do regret her going out so early; for me she belonged in the top 10. But there you go. And I liked Miss Evangelista too

Oh well, with Sylvia Noble gone my votes are now as follows;

Ood Sigma
K9 (School Reunion)
Mr Jefferson (The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit)
Yvonne Hartman (Army of Ghosts/Doomsday)
Agatha Christie (The Unicorn and the Wasp)
Malcolm Taylor (Planet of the Dead)

I predict a higher place for Ood Sigma, even though I'm voting him out myself.

Sally Sparrow gone! Well, she did get a position relatively near her last one, so I find that interesting.

I lost one of my votes, so:

Old:
03) Mickey Smith (Noel Smith)
05) Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman)
12) Professor River Song (Alex Kingston)
28) The Family Of Blood / Human Nature: Joan (Jessica Hynes)

26) The Shakespeare Code: William Shakespeare (Dean Lennox Kelly)

New:
29) The Family Of Blood / Human Nature: Tim Lattimer (Thomas Sangster) - I really hated how his nosiness caused bad things to happen. Not that I should be pointing fingers, since I'm nosy to a fault.

I say Ood Sigma will go up!

Well, I'm back after a bit of an absence from the internet. Too late to join in any of the prediction tables, but here's some votes for this round:

17) The Unquiet Dead: Gwyneth (Eve Myles)
20) Bad Wolf / The Parting Of The Ways: Lynda Moss (Jo Joyner)
25) Army Of Ghosts / Doomsday: Yvonne Hartman (Tracy-Ann Oberman)
26) The Shakespeare Code: William Shakespeare (Dean Lennox Kelly)
27) Gridlock: Thomas Kincade Brannigan (Ardal O'Hanlon)
30) Blink: Larry Nightingale (Finlay Robertson)

I do think the eviction of Sally is a bit of a knee-jerk to all the hoo-ha in these forums more than the performance/character.

Oh, and I think Sigma will be lower.
