RE Treyc, I don't dispute the fact that she is majorly talented, and she'd be a shoe in if this was XF 1,2 or 3, but I just think XF has moved on from those kind of singers.

Unfortunately I can see her being the next Kimberley.

But I'll see how she performs live before judging. I think she's a very specific artist and Cheryl needs to bring out the best in her.

Anyway, I wonder what Belle Amie would look like after the "makeovers" if they get through. Maybe I shouldn't be getting my hopes up.

I love Rebecca's makeover! I love their look.

Is it me or do two of Belle Amie look like clones of Frankie and Vanessa/Rochelle from The Saturdays??

I think:

Rebecca = Frankie (the hair/face/general appearance)
Sophia = Rochelle (kinda the gobby one in a bubbly way )
Geneva = Vanessa (the voice)
Esther = Una (well...not Molly )

I wouldn't call them clones though. They are just similar.

Anyway, can't wait to hear what they sing next week.

Just thought i'd drop in and pledge my allegiance to Belle Amie Thought hey were great last night so i'm glad to see them in the top 12, lets hope they make it further than previous girl bands and get to do some real performances!

I think with the right songs they can get at least as f ar as Hope did I just hope thast Simon gets the song choices right this time given he did mess up in thast area with Hope

At least their the only girl group so there won't be any splits in votes.

Not sure if I like the make over, it's made them look quite harsh rather than light hearted and fun like they were at judges houses. If their made to look fierce than it won't do them any favours with female voters.

I actually liked their makeovers. Some did look a little harsh like Rebecca and Esther's but it worked for them. I like that they kept Sophia the same, was worried they would make her platinum blonde like Coco from KR last year.

I don't think harsh is good for a girlband on X factor, I think they need to look fun and not 'sexy' I guess you could say. For it to work female viewers must believe your self depricating and not competition, I think anyway.

I know what you mean but just look at Girlband. They looked like a kids band with no credibility. Bad Lashes, on the other hand, had an edge but just a duff song choice.

I think the classy look that Miss Frank had would be great. But edgy might be good for Belle Amie. It didn't do Rachel any favours last year though.

I think we're reading too much into the makeovers. Everybody gets cold and serious photoshoots for that part

I've got a genius song choice for these girls and it's current:

Shontelle - Impossible

It's a R&B mid-tempo/ballad but it could start off acapella with Geneva singing the "I remember years ago...I did" introduction and then each girl sings a section with the others doing harmonies throughout the song and then Geneva sings the "outro" which is identical to the introduction. It'd be a nice effect.

That would be a good choice, it's apparently UK number ones for the first week so I don't think this one could be used but hopefully they'll be able to sing more current songs.

I thought maybe a song from Rihanna, like take a bow. Not sure whether they should push for RnB or pop, depending on what kind of music they want to release

that's what I was thinking if I weer them in the first couple of weeks while you're still learning about each others strengths and weaknesses keep it simple at the end of the day i did hear there was some infighting around hope towards the end not suer if it was true or not but I'd like to think this won't happen with Belle Amie

/Once they have got a couple of performances under their belt then maybe around week 3 or 4 they can start experimenting withthe direction they want to go down I wuld just encourage them to get to know each other first after all they have to work as a team if they're going to get anything from this
