Blackberry curve 9300 vs 8520
Both of these phones are available on the contract that I want. I've looked through the specs and I can't really see what the difference is. Which one do you think is better for a first time blackberry user?
I think the 9300 looks better but other than that i'm confused. Help please

Is the GPS on the Blackberry free to use, or do you have to pay everytime you access it?
9300 gets the better reviews everywhere I've read about it. |

http://www.store-vodafone.co.uk/voda...0-curve-3g.htm The overview on this page will tell you a little more about it- I think its definitely worth the extra cost to go for this over the 8520. Quote:

That depends. It is free to connect to the satellites, but some Map software requires a GPRS connection, which will use up your data allowance. I'm not sure in the case of the BlackBerry, but the system requirements section on this page suggests it probably will use up your datahttp://na.blackberry.com/eng/devices...berry_maps.jsp Edit: The hyper-links are now broken. |

The 9300 is certainly better. Key difference is the 9300 has 3G (faster web access) other than that size/camera/memory/screen is the same on both.

Who's offering this deal?
100 mins/unlimited texts/Blackberry 13 months free rental makes £9.17/month 9300 Curve 3G Same tariff but only 10 months free rental £11.67/month The 8520 is still selling very well surprisingly enough, probably not the price difference could be the choice of pretty colours it comes in ![]() Cheers, Jon |

http://www.mobiles.co.uk/submit-bill.html You can also post it but the above is quicker. You'll get a cheque in 28 days. Be sure to diary the claim date when you get your phone - you have a 60 day window in which to claim |

I'd get the Pearl 3G (unless you're definitely sticking to the two models mentioned). . . my sister has one, it has great build quality and it nice to use.

![]() It could be a good choice but the OP would need to consider how much email/text he'd do - if it's any amount then the keyboard on the 8520/9300 would be well worth having. |

I agree. I made the mistake of selling it to get another phone. Wish I hadnt now. Nothing wrong with the 8520 at all. Internet was certainly fast enough for me.
