I notice you ignored the part about the listeners.

Actually when talking about the staff many will probably feel like a weight has been.lifted from them, even if they have been fired. Knowing if you have a job or not is better than wondering if and when. At first they'd feel sbit but then they'll get on with finding better jobs and will find out that they are better off and happier than they were. Sucess often comes after a fall.

They'll stop being bitter and will have moved on while people on here will still be arguing over the rotation of Michael Buble.

I've thought of an obvious song which Smooth don't play very much but should play. They never play Don't let the sun go down on me, even though they play lots of Elton John and George Michael

But nowhere near as much as most songs by either Elton John or George Michael

Then it probably doesn't test as well as you'd think - I was shown research once based on 30,000 phone responses and it was quite an eye opener, particularly when it came to the actual familiarity of 'well known songs'

You're no Monkey are you. Trust me to miss the obvious tune, but then that one sits perfectly okay for Smooth's playlist, even if they never have played it, which I cannot remember.

Thank god that Smooth plays the Elvis version of Always on my mind and I can't help falling in love with you, not the Pet Shop Boys or UB40 versions of those songs

I still wondering who are the voices for the jingles and music on Smooth?

The female voice sounds quite similar to the actress Frances Barber but that's just a wild guess.

Most mornings I've tuned in it's been Anna Tyler, Global(& Communicorp)'s Head of News for the East Midlands - also appears on Capital EM's breakfast show.

The ads will be as ghastly as the station sounds.

When the couple have an argument Buble returns to the room with a radio playing We Dont Talk Anymore.

A few hours later after the George Michael record I Want Your Sex has been played eighteen times, she picks up the radio and throws it from the hotel window. He says "where is bloody Chris Evans when you need him ".

Think I read on Tv Forum that Kate is Daybreaking this week as Lorraine Kelly is off herself. (Think its Scotland school holidays! )

Which might put paid to the theory that Kate could do both.

Well she's certainly been doing Daybreak and then going to do Smooth.
A couple of weeks in on Smooth and she's off.Thats great continuity when a new presenter has just joined.....
