Oh dear that was fun. Straight after the smooth jingle on smooth Norfolk we had. Playing the greatest hits of all time this is gold. Bit of a mistake there.

It seems Paul Phear is doing Sundays on Smooth London now instead of Emma B. She continues to do Saturday Breakfast.

Emma B is by far the best female presenter on Smooth. She should be on daily.

Emma B is one of the best on Smooth. Lynn Parsons was too when she was on the station.
Smooth have so much talent spread across the network. Clive Warren, Carlos, Gary King, Paul Phear etc etc... |

Smooth doesn't seem to play the whole of some songs
On a lighter note, I'm very much enjoying the Great Brittish Songbook tonight |

The Great British Songbook is a good listen. A few unusual tracks! Last week they played Your Latest Trick by Dire Straits, which gave me that "I haven't heard that in ages" feeling I really only get these days from Radio 10 Gold.
I can't listen to it in the morning or at drive time, though. I am sure Nigel and Charlie are doing a good job, but the great chunks of commercials which come up (e.g. before the 7 a.m. news) are off-putting. When I have listened, they seem to be mostly for claiming compensation for medical negligence! |

I do tend to listen to Smooth most of the time these days and have done since it launched, people might not like the changes but things change
I agree Emma B is great and would prefer her on mid mornings, I also think Anthony Davies, Carlos and Chris Skinner are great too and I think Tina Hobley is a good listen. |

Oh dear Smooth. You skipped out a whole verse of one of my favourite Smooth songs Mrs Robinson. When you skip out a bit of Carpenters Yesterday Once More its fine but this is just ridiculous

What region are you based in? I'm from the Eaat Midlands and don't like either Gareth Evans at breakfast or Emma Cauldwell at drive time
Always liked Gareth from his Heart days, he was on 106 doing mid mornings, back in the days when it had lots of speech and he was on Gem 106 at the start. He does talk more than I was expecting on Smooth |

There is a thread on DS about Heart cutting songs as well.
At the moment, my favourite Smooth song is Smokey Robinson I second that emotion |

I dip in and out of both shows. Emma sounds much better on Smooth than she did on Capital.
