I wonder how long it will be until Pat gets given a daily slot on Smooth? I see David Prever has been used a lot more weekends as well, i think he is well suited to the Smooth format.

That would mean most of the weekday line-up would sound London based. I know David Jensen and Carlos shows come from Manchester, but if Pat was to move to weekdays it would come from London. Hey don't tell Carlos Pat is after his job

I think it's London as he had to continue on a few weeks back whilst David Prever was stuck on the M1 who was covering for Lynn.

Funny considering The Twitpics on Pat's Twitter are of Manchesters studio. And the fact that he has been tweeting loads about being part of the manchester family now.

I can confirm 100% that Jon Craig is correct... Weekday shows by Pat or David Jensen come from Salford Quays, Fridays and Weekends come from the London studios...

Looking forward to hearing Carlos back on drivetime on Monday. Heard his RAJAR was good so he'll be a happy bloke.

Carlos has more listeners in London for the 70s at 7 and his weekend show has more than drive.

We're also back into a situation in the capital where the weekend breakfast show is more popular than the weekday show.

Well they don't seem to be doing that now especially when they do the news intro. Lots of stations and news programmes in the States still use a line like this, even when the person is away. It's not like they've left, they're just on holiday and if they're such an important part of the output, why not still stress in during their absence?
