Graham starts this sunday with love songs and smooth have their new schedule on their website sadly no Rick Kirby and Dave Lincoln through the night on Sat and Sun.
Is Graham still doing his programmes for the BBC as well then as they are still listed for Saturday and Sunday evenings?

Seems a very good line up this week

Lynn Breakfast, Pat Midmornings and Andy Afternoons.
Lynn is a lovley person I love listening to her. Pat Sharp is better at Mid-mornings than Breakfast. But Andy Peebles in the Afternoon. I listened he to me didn't sound as good as doing the evening show. Hes got that voice that suits doing the evening show. I was listening he seemed like he was pressing the wrong buttons. Dave lincoln and Ricky Kirby are great. Dave lincoln is good at over nights.

Great! Love Carlos on Smooth. He's been sadly missed from weekends. He starts at 5 in Scotland now weekdays. I presume Simon Bates being on at 9 means they have to do an extra local hour elsewhere?

The shows are still listed, but they're carefully worded to not mention Graham now. He's also gone from the list of presenters on BBC Bristol at least. A shame - but I'm certainly not following him to iPod FM. Given a choice between Graham Torrington on commercial radio (that's only available online here), and the same format on BBC radio (or just going back to my usual choice of R1)... hmmmm now let me think for a moment.....

EDIT: Just checked Graham's page on Smooth Radio, and the phone-in number is an 0844 one. Another one to add to the ripoff scam hall-of-fame then. At least at the BBC it was "only" 0845 (admittedly not ideal) with an 01 equivalent if you looked around. Another reason not to encourage the show.

His show so far is brillient. Great music with just the right amount of chat too.
Plus did anyone notice when he read a text message out he measioned a defubct radio station by accident which was funny and nice too. (Someone texted that they missed from his RamFM days and wish him best of luck on Smooth Radio UK).

He is brillient on Smooth Radio and very interactive with his listioners too and keeps entising listeners to call in that is nice.
You meansioned BBC, well I've took a quick look on BBC Bristol and there is a podcast of him from 1/1/12. But the strange thing is that the same name of his show on the BBC in the south is still the same and showing his picture on there. BBC Bristol Program Page of Graham Torrington.

Plus just now he said in now in two weeks that hes going to start his own style of relationships show that he did on other stations. Love Sex and Relationships, which will be strange for this station but a new and intresting concept too. Hope that this style will work on Smooth Radio.

I heard this, I don't think it will work on Smooth. I really don't like this kind of programming. I use to listen to The Pleasuredrome on Yorkshire Radio on Sunday evenings and think I'll be back to that in a few weeks time.

It may be successful but I was seriously hoping never to hear GT on the radio ever again, and certainly not doing this bore-a-thon. We suffered this kind of 'Late Night Love' thing for years on end on those GWR stations, and in the end it was so jaded, I was glad it was ended. But here it is again. I'm definitely switching it off after David Jensen has finished. I genuinely can't bear GT and this kind of show.

On an 0844 number I'm not surprised! Great money spinner for the station (or Graham himself) I don't doubt.

I wonder if the plan is to have Andy Peebles on from 19.00 to 22.00 and then GT on from 22.00 to 01.00?

I much prefer 3 hour shows as it gives more variety. But I'm not saying I particularly want GT on week days, but I can see it happening.

NO NO NO dont say that!!!! Anyway the 0844 number has always been smooth radio number since they went national and its not a premium number look it up in the phone number guide. Liking the sound of him but would not want him on every night but like has been said who knows what might happen.

According to GT it will just be sunday nights but he will be going back to his old school of relationship problems etc which i dont think i will like much but will give it a go to see what its like. Must say his show did sound good last night so a good addition to smooths lineup.

I don't like the idea of having 2 evening shows in one night like at Real radio David Heane followed by Ryan Seacrest (Who I can't stand). I prefered things how they used to be. I now tune into Smooth radio on a friday night from 10pm to 12am.

Just think,,when they dump the Seacrest show they could put Torrington on both networks at the same time,,
