Either they are hoping the audience will have some 'hate' figures (plus a nice easy rhyme) or there were more redundant bankers about last year.
Whilst S4 had five people with sales in their last job title, there was only one in S5, which was Debra. Selling is part of many roles but isn't all of it eg estate agents and 'development managers'. Many people have started in a shop or telesales as a first or interim job eg Lorraine and Yasmina.
Sales or convincing people to give you their cash in return for what your business does, is what keeps a commercial business alive; providing it's done at a net profit. Every role in a business has that as it's ultimate aim
even if they don't realise*. I have no problem with Sugar 'banging on' on that subject.
*'above it all journos', if you didn't write what people will pay to read, they won't buy your paper and advertisers won't pay to be in it.
