I'm a Cheryl fan but I don't delude myself into believing that shes a great singer, her live lounge performances are just horrible, really really bad, especially Parachute. But I like HER. I like her personality, attitude and just everything. Her album was okay, and shes definitely another one of those studio singers.

Apparently the song is getting it's debut on Radio 1 next week.

I bet it will be shit, seems very rushed.

It's been a year? How is that rushed? All confirmed on twitter now, written by one Chris Jackson and Pricilla Rinea, both relatively unknown except for Rinea's attempt at a pop career. Critically well received but commercial failure. I'm pretty sure it will premiere monday. Video being shot from today onwards (poss. today)!

Cheryl seems to be doing what girls aloud have done for the past few albums. 3 singles from one album and then straight on to another album. She could of easily got a 4th song from three words but seemed eager to move on, mainly because the whole of 3 words is pretty much about Ashley.

I think Stand Up was INCREDIBLY weak and would have made a vile single choice. Actually, Why did they change their minds about releasing that, because one of her sorta reliable fansites said it was getting a release?

Oohh Cheryl's gearing up for Album #2 as soon as she can with it being 1st September tomorrow. I hope this is another FFTL and that it's a s big as it!

I was kinda hoping she would just go away......forever.

I'm really looking forward to this... listening to Cheryl Cole is my guilty pleasure. I don't think she's a very talented singer, but she has some great catchy pop songs that are an easy listen and she has grown on me as a person.

I was unsure about her first album but I bought it in the end and I'm glad I did. I listen to it quite a lot... the only songs I'm not really keen on are Make Me Cry, Rain on Me and Stand Up.

I hope this new album is even better than her first!

she clearly can sing, or she would never of made it through the talent shows to actually get into girls aloud.

she's not amazing, hence why she's in a group (well was). But i agree, going solo wasn't a good move.

But i don't mind.

She was good with snow patrol at children in need.

If its produced by Wayne, then its gonna be a smash. His production is always sublime. I'm curious to see where she is going with this second album, I can't ignore her lack of a singing voice, but she always seems to have the right singles.

I think she can sing but she has a real problem dancing and singing at the same time which you would, she sounded fine here

Does anyone get the feeling that Girls Aloud are well and truly over?

Cheryls now on to her second solo album, Nadine's releasing her first soon

Its apparent that the others dont get on well with Nadine, I dont believe the tabloids at all but from interviews with Nicola and Kimberley I felt some animosity when Nadine got mentioned.

I feel Girls Aloud could have released another 2 or 3 studio albums following the big success of "Out of Control" but alas some got above their station and ruined it.

I think Cheryl sounds like a weaker Mel C.

I like the sound of her voice she just doesn't have a huge vocal range.
