I think it sounds fun. Matt tinkling away pondering how to stop the Daleks.

Make it so Mr Moffat.

If Lord Peter Wimsey can play the piano and Sherlock can play the violin...

Well, 2nd Doctor could play the recorder. Did I read somewhere that Jon Pertwee wanted his Doctor to play guitar?

That would have been a nice duet in the multi-Doctor episodes!

Peter Davison had a ripple of a tune on a harp too!

The 10th Doctor had a twang on the harp in Girl in the Fireplace. Perhaps he was remembering his former skill.

With Seven on the spoons would make a nice fade-to-close final scene for The Eleven Doctors in a couple of years.

Who wouldn't want to hear a recorder, guitar, piano, harp and spoons in perfect harmony?

Maybe One could strap a couple of cymbals to his knees.

Docs Four and Six can do loud spoken-word solo sections. Number seven plays the spoons too, and Eight might be a good singer - he has that look. Nine clearly has a good sense of rhythm, so he's on the drums. Eleven on the piano.

Doc Hartnell, park your bum and walking stick and listen to real Trock...followed by Ten and Five's rendition of "Two Hearts, Two Harps".

He also wrote, sang and played the guitar for the feem toon of Button Moon, you know...

Paul McGann was apparently in a pop group with his brothers called the Four McGanns. Or something like that - I don't really remember...

Sorry- did i miss-read this? 'Matt Smith would like to play piano in Dr Who'- bit greedy and odd as he already plays the lead role.
