I didnt think i would be posting in this bit this year again. This morning i found Hope one of my handrears had died in her sleep. She was only 13wks old. I had handreared her since she was only 6 days old. In the 13wks i had her she gave me so much joy and love it was unreal. Another furbaby at the rainbow bridge but one that never will be forgotten. Run free sweetheart.

This is unreal. My blackie passed this morning at 7.55am/. He is now reunited with his sister hope. He fought all day yesterday but i think he just wanted too be at peace with hope. All his other siblings are ok. I just so bloody lost now the tears have come again i dont think they will ever stop.
Run free at the Bridge Blackie. You gave me so so much joy and happiness over the weeks i will always remember that.

Oh my God, how very sad to lose two little friends so close together. I really feel for you, I don't know how I would cope with a second lose so soon. Do take comfort that they are together. JX

Thank you both. I dont know why but was so much calmer with blackie i just had that gut feeling. I dont think they have anything catching too other cats but i cant be sure they were not kittens that have been interbred. I am taking a step back from it for a few months now just can loose anymore at the moment.

I cant believe my Ben the border collie has been gone almost a year.
He suffered internal bleeding and had a tumour in his stomach the size of a golf ball.

R.I.P

Edwina the hamster
only 3 months old

Just found her an hour ago, thought she was asleep.
I must be doing something wrong, or someone is trying to tell me something

She'll be buried with Eddie the hamster in the garden

I was directed here from a similar thread I started.
My beautiful boxer dog died today. She was an old girl and she was ill, so I don't feel anger. In a way, I'm glad she isn't suffering any more, but I am completely devastated. I miss her already, and the thought of life without her, after 10 years, makes me cry. My best advice for everyone here is to try and focus on the good times. I have 10 years of hilarious and heart warming memories that will never leave me, and because of this, my loyal and loving Crotchet will never truly leave either.

Over the years I have lost many pets due to old age and each time it has broken my heart even though they were family pets they had their fave as in my dog Annie would stay with my mum as she had extra treats and my mum was home more with her , my cat Shelley was 6yr older than me and she would sit on my dad as he could cope with the clawing or how we called it the war dance lol
Then I got sooty a stray kitten found in a students garden it was love at first sight we would play together and everything ! At 6 month old she gave birth to 3 kittens I stayed up all night bringing her food drink and just keeping her company I was 11at the time so I was exhausted . We kept one kitten who is now nearly 14and nutkin is still going strong . Sooty and me were like a double act she was a little diva she knew she was pretty , outside my house we would have groups of people stopping to smooth her (my bf called her a tart lol) but then 17/10/11 I had a call a neighbour found her a hit and run my poor little sooty who I promised to care for I felt I let her down , she has been cremated and when me and my bf buy a house we will bury ashes and plant flowers for her . I miss her everyday x rip sooty x

Long reply sorry lol

R.I.P to our gerbil "Comet" who sadly passed away last night at the age of 3, going to bury her in the garden later where our older gerbils are buried, the picture I've added below is one my Mum took of her last year (I think it was between September and October)

Ah two weeks later and I'm still very sad. I'm away from home most of the time, and coming back and her not being here is so upsetting. They never truly leave us, do they? Saw some pics of her as a puppy earlier. I wish I could go back in time ten years. I really do

I'm still feeling heart broken after nearly a year, I know that sounds stupid. My Dad bought another Collie but he doesn't replace my Ben.

It doesn't sound at all stupid to grieve for a year & more, I don't know how we ever heal. It's nearly a month since I lost my Billy & still, the minute I allow myself to think of him, I start to cry. Last night I had a real wobble, today my boyf had a similar bad time, both really struggling,

I shouldn't torture myself coming on here, just makes me so sad for all of you too...

This is a message to the thread to say RIP to our beautiful dog Toto.

Honestly never hurt this much before in my life, I know some will find that odd. Really have lost a good friend, really has turned my life upside down.

This thread is lovely (sad..but lovely) x

We had to have our beautiful 14½ year old collie cross Pip, put to sleep last June and we still miss him terribly. We know it was for the best because he was struggling with his heart. We are going to get another dog this year because our friends are breeding their border collies in May, they've had some before and they were beautiful dogs so I just hope the breeding works. My husband thought he was being stupid grieving over a dog but I told him that it's quite normal because he was part of the family for over 14 years.
