Here are some of the explanations people have to offer -

Spoiler
7. Beau Geste is cool.
Beau Geste is a 1924 adventure novel written by P.C. Wren.

8. Bow Street runners are cool.
The Bow Street Runners were London’s first professional police force.

9. Bromley-by-Bow is cool.
Bromley-by-Bow is a district of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

10. 4 August 1982 – Happy Birthday, Ma’am.
Probably refers to the late Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, who was born on 4th August 1900

18. “How could a fellow Gallifreyan stoop so low?”
Does another Gallifreyan mean another Time Lord? Certainly all Time Lord’s are Gallifreyan’s, but are all Gallifreyan’s Time Lord’s? Is River Song Gallifreyan?

21. Argonite? Here?
Argonite was a precious metal in the 1969 story “The Space Pirates“. Could this reference be a little nod to the Second Doctor’s penultimate story?

22. An ordinary block of flats.
Does this refer to the flats used as a location in the fourth episode “What Are Little Boys Made Of?"

26. The Doctor defeats the Sahara Desert.
This could be part of the same episode as the Beau Geste reference due to Beau’s membership of the French Foreign Legion.

27. Susannah’s still alive.
Is a song by The Kinks.

33. “A pillar of salt, yes – but not because she looked back. Looking back is good!”
This could be a reference to Lot’s wife, who in the Bible was turned in to a pillar of salt as punishment for looking back upon the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah

36. Treading through the sand – on the one night they come back.
This could be part of the same episode as the Beau Geste reference due to Beau’s membership of the French Foreign Legion.

39. Octavian wasn’t lying.
Could this refer to Father Octavian’s warning about River Song in Flesh and Stone?

Quote:
“ “You can’t trust her… River Song. You think you know her, but you don’t. You don’t understand who or what she is.””

40. Mysterious semblance at the the strand of nightmares.
Is a track from Tangerine Dream’s 1974 album Phaedra

That's awesome - thanks for that! Interesting indeed, especially the last one:

Spoiler
41. The bones of the TARDIS
Abomination

Thanks for these.

Maybe
Spoiler
an episode involves Jack the Ripper or something...after all, there are mentions of the Bow Street Runners and Bromley-by-Bow, which are rather near Whitechapel in London. A loose link perhaps.

Also,
Spoiler
you may wish to shoot me down for this but could River Song maybe be a human form of the TARDIS. Sounds daft I know, but with that 'bones of the TARDIS' reference it was the first thing that popped into my head. I'll have some other daft suggestion next week, but I havea strong inkling that River is NOT the Doctors wife. Moffat is playing too clever a game here for it to be that simple

Interesting theory It would make sense in the married couple element They have been together for a long time after all

Spoiler
"Bones of the TARDIS" made me think perhaps the origination of the TARDIS, something to do with that kind of area.

Oh I just has a little idea pop into my head - I wonder if this would relate in any way to the mysterious force that was flying/controlling the TARDIS in The Pandorica Opens - I'm probably miles off, but it's fun to speculate

I think that could all lead to something...
Spoiler
maybe with River in the TARDIS, assuming she is a human iteration of it, perhaps the TARDIS lost its own identity in a similar way the Doctor did in Amy's Choice or maybe it simply became vulnerable to possession from something else...something that knows who or what River is.

And that always striked me as odd as well, how on a number of occasions I have heard the question asked as 'Who or what' River is, as opposed to just 'Who'. Similarly, Moffat is often saying that in Series 6
Spoiler
we will be exploring who the silence are

Oh my so many questions!!!

3. You won't believe what's buried under Wembley Stadium...

Apparently, the answer is a steam train.

Apparently, it's not a rumour at all - it's fact

Oh my so many questions!!!”

I know, the "who" are the silence and "who or what" River is leaves me very excited, but with a million more theories

Spoiler
I wonder if River is something to do with The Silence. The 'what' for River is also very intriguing - perhaps she is connected to the TARDIS, would make the "you taught me" bit when flying the TARDIS a bit weird though...
But I love the specualtion

Also, afterward the series I love looking back to all these hints we get and thinking "ahhh...so that's what that was" Although, after speculating in my mind about Journey's End, I was a bit disappointed with what we got, I was a bit younger then though

Spoiler
The Bow St Runners were gone by the time of Jack the Ripper, and he never struck in Bromley by Bow. However, the Bow St Runners would have been the ones looking for Dick Turpin, who would have passed through Bromley by Bow often.

And Bromley By Bow is indeed cool - I was born there!

I ended up stranded there one night in May after a Black Eyed Peas concert, and I now happen to live in the borough of Bromley (though I shant say where ).

I'm quite poor with my historical timelines but Dick Turpin is a great alternative for Dr Who!

I'd like to think that Eleven has developed a fondness for anything with 'Bow' in the title

Amazing, thanks for that. I am away for a week with work and just looked in WH Smith to see if I could find a copy to amuse me while I was down here. No luck.

Is it worth it or are the spoilers the best bit?

yes, the same for me, i did see the Doctor Who 2011 annual in there, but not this book. It may be that they will be getting them in stock next week, the lady i spoke to said. I've just ordered mine from Play though. I think it looks a pretty decent book from what i have seen so far.

Here is another little spoiler that comes from within the book itself (so don't read if you want to keep it a surprise ) and a niggle of info regarding certain enemies

Spoiler
A poster on Gallifrey Base kindly uploaded this quote from the book by The Moff:
"The fact is, we're not going to lose the old Daleks [design]. We're keeping them. They're coming back. We'll just use them all at once, and have different ranks. All I've done is give the Daleks an officer class."
