We never know what goes on in the Apprentice house. Perhaps Raleigh let himself be talked in getting a make over from Melissa or Stuart (there being no end to his talents)

This is a quote from a Laura Moore story in Staines news today. I wonder if this means Laura isn't in the final 2, as I'm sure the final 2 work for Sugar until he picks the winner, so maybe this is a bit of a spoiler?
Quote:
“.

In the last year prior to the show commencing, she has been working as a management consultant where she has brought in more than £500,000 of new business. The kind of business nous that gets Lord Sugar's interest”

The
'In the last year prior to the show commencing, she has been working as a management consultant where she has brought in more than £500,000 of new business.'
is from the press pack given out. Every paper quotes the same thing. This then refers to what she told the selection panel, so prior to filming.

First time i have read it, but did think it was weird that they would slip up like that.

There have been quite a few slip ups already. One of the fictions of the show is that it is happenning in real time. Normally there's a really tight cloak of secrecy around the candidates. This year because it was filmed a year ago, that's already been breached. Several have of course got jobs or hit the news otherwise.
Laura Moore isn't a rare name, so web searches are difficult.
Her uni site, The Royal Holloway does add that she broke off her studies after one year to 'gain practical business experience'. Makes no mention of her being a current student though. Loads of reasons why it wouldn't though.
Same uni, Debra Barr from last year went to btw.

The Daily Mail has run the stiry that Raleigh was forced to quit this episode after a personal tragedy, so it wouldn't surprise me to see 2 people go this episode.

I've a feeling the 2nd is Christopher as I THINK this is the task where one team gets "zero sales" and he appears to be in the PM role judging from the preview clip on the website (and as we all know from this programme, team makes a loss = PM fired, except for last year's "street auction" task but the rules for that one didn't make much sense).

It also appears Stella is on the boys' team, probably to replace Raleigh.

ETA: Turns out Stella is the PM for Synergy after all, but I don't see her getting fired.

Why is it a slip-up? "Prior to the show commencing" presumably means prior to filming rather than prior to broadcast, so it's not saying anything about who she worked for after filming ended.

There is an aerial shot in the ep2 intro sequence of the candidates meeting Karren and Nick. There appears to be 11 people there; Stella, Melissa and Joanna are definitely among them.

Another poster said, that information about Laura was in the press pack, so had been in some newspapers before. I replied that I hadn't seen it before, so I thought it might be a spoiler, but I did think it weird they would put a spoiler in the story, hence the question mark in my orginal post.

Task 4, from the Radio Times web site:

Innovative Products:

Quote:
“Alan Sugar summons the remaining candidates to London's Science Museum, where they have to choose innovative products and try to persuade their inventors to let them sell their goods to some of the UK's largest retailers. To add further pressure, each hopeful is given an individual order book with strict instructions to secure as many sales as possible.”

Ah so the spotting of Nick Hewer at the Cycle Show was him off duty after all. This task isn't in public so no one will have caught the event on camera-phone.

Someone twittered Sugar today saying, they had heard that Stella and Liz were the final two, but Sugar replied back he hadn't choosen yet, hasn't the final two been picked yet?

Task 3:

Spoiler
Shibby and Melissa were Team Leaders of their respective teams.

Shibby's team lost and he bought back Paloma and Sandeesh.

Lord Sugar rightly decided to fire Shibby

Ugh, the previews made it seem so obvious as to who got fired.

Spoiler
Glad Melissa won as PM, though.

Normally they would have been yes. Back in late November last year and at that time they didn't know it was going to be shelved.

Definitely didn't deserve to. That person was a terrible Team Leader!

Task 5, From the Radio Times web site:

Quote:
“Alan Sugar challenges the remaining contestants to open pop-up fashion shops in the Trafford Centre in Manchester, one of Europe's largest shopping outlets. Supervised by Nick Hewer and Karren Brady, the teams must select ranges of clothing from some of London's up-and-coming designers and sell their brands to promote their stores.”

Any chance you could clarify in future if your spoilers are the result of the 'You're Fired' filming? Seems to me there are spoilers and there are ruiners, if I know your spoilers are so absolute, i'll avoid reading them.

Cheers.

Sometimes there are 4 finalists. I vaguely recall all 4 of them working for Sugar until the final is broadcast, so it's quite possible that his tweet was literally true, and that he still has the option to pick which two of them are final.

In fact, I wonder now if he has 4 in the final partly to make guessing the winner harder. Also, I suspect he wants to see the TV footage before making his final decision, and he might also be affected by the public reaction. For example, it's probably only now that he realises Paloma was wrong to deny criticising Sandeesh, and if public perception is that she's a liar and a cheat, it'd make it harder for him to declare her the winner.

Regardless, even if he has definitely decided who the winner is, he's hardly going to leak the information in tweet and ruin the show for everyone.

Well, the RT web site showns there are 12 tasks including the final, so on the basis that Raleigh had to drop out, plus an assumption that only one is fired per task until the final, than there will be four finalists.

You'll get a few firings, in the Interview round, if only one candidate per task, gets fired before then. Unless, on the rare occasion Lord Sugar can't decide[like what happened in Series 4]who to fire, then you might have 2 teams in the final, with the candidates on the losing team being fired, & Lord Sugar, choosing his Apprentice from one of the candidates in the Winning team.

This is just guesswork for task 4's results based on what we already know/ preview clips in the main show and You're Fired. Bear in mind I have a 0% firing rate thus far in this thread

PM's are Chris (Apollo) and Jamie (Synergy)
Teams are the same from the previous task (sans Shibby obviously)
Apollo wins
Jamie is not fired - is seen in future task.
Same with Stella.
Same with Joanna.
Melissa is brought back into the boardroom (clothes she wears at task results/final boardroom correspond with Lord Sugar's from the same episode.)
Christopher is probably not fired as there's a preview clip of him and Jamie in the boardroom together in different clothes which hasn't aired yet (to my knowledge).
This is the episode with the "climate change" comment going by LS's clothes so someone who talks too much is definitely in the firing line (could apply to either Stuart or Melissa).

In conclusion, if Jamie doesn't bring Stuart back in, Melissa will be fired. If he does, Stuart could possibly be fired instead.

I think...

Yeah, after reading this it looks pretty likely that Melissa gets fired, and also that Liz is going to go very, very far.
