Foxtrot/Salsa dances next week
dale g

Just found out on the BBC One tv listings, the couples are either performing a Foxtrot or Salsa next weekend.

So that means Ann & Anton will be doing a Salsa! (as they doing Waltz this week, they have to do a Latin next time)

Should be an entertaining routine, go for it Ann!!!

Think this may be the first time that the Rumba hasn't been danced within the first two weeks which makes a nice change since it is one of my fave dances. Hopefully they will keep pushing it back until at least Week 4 when perhaps most couples will be able to do a decent job of it?

I predict the Quickstep and Jive for Week 3.

And then a Tango and a Rumba for Week 4?

In an article on Greytops about Peter and Erin it says they have got Samba next week so somebody has got it wrong, easily done though as Salsa and Samba sound so alike don't they

So which is the more difficult combo, Waltz/salsa or Cha cha/foxtrot?

Drat!
I was looking forward to Ann and Anton's Rumba.

Salsa - I doubt if it will be recognisable. I'm guessing a slow disco number.

They don't always follow the Ballroom/Latin/Ballroom.......order - I think it all depends on who is eliminated the week before or at least in what genre.
Quite a few couples last year broke the alternate genre pattern and certainly Tom & Camilla followed a Cha Cha Cha with a Jive.

I think Ann & Anton will have the Foxtrot

They'll make sure all the couples dance a ballroom and a Latin before elimination, seeing as no-one is eliminated in week 1. There will be justified cries of 'not fair' if they don't. And no couples last year broke the alternate genre pattern seeing as they HAD to dance a ballroom on the Friday and Latin on the Saturday!

I wasn't referring to the first dances but as the series went on - i.e. 3rd week/dance onwards but none of it is cast in stone anyway.

When did cries of 'not fair' stop them?

Ann is in the 'entertainment' slot regardless of the dance.

i think the reason behind that was because there was a gap between week 1 and week 3 when the boys performed

I know it happened from 3rd week onwards, but we're not at that stage. There is no reason why each couple wouldn't dance a ballroom and a latin before elimination. Ann would be more entertainment doing salsa than foxtrot anyway.

Alesha seemed to think next week was Rumba week.
