I've tried all the teabag brands, and my favourites are: Tetley, and Indian Prince. I don't really bother with loose tea. Although I might start.

For normal and decaf tea I use PG Tips, but for everything else like Twinings (Lady Grey, the fruit ones, green tea, etc...). I have about 10 different types of teas in the cupboard now

I can't be arsed with loose tea. It's too much effort

Twinings for me; Darjeeling and Assam. They are similar in flavour, but different ends of the strength scale. Lapsang suchong for a change, every now and then, to mix up the tastes. There are some green teas I like such as Jasmine, but is for when I am eating something mildly spicy. I have recently returned to tea, after many years of drinking only coffee. As one advances in years, the affects of the caffeine become more pronounced. I like my coffee strong and black so it was becoming a bit wearisome. I haven't given up coffee, I just drink a lot less of it now. As I drink my tea black as well, so I filter my water through a declac filter, to avoid the scum build up on the drink. It gives a much cleaner flavour and clearer hue.

I use both loose and bags. Bags if I am making just one cup and loose if I am making a pot. I use a diffuser for the larger pot and a I have a built in mesh filter in the smaller one. If Darjeeling or Assam is left in the pot for too long, it becomes over brewed and eventually develops that scum and leaves a bitter taste.

I found the tassimo Twinnings wasn't as nice, maybe I should have done a couple more clean outs before making it!!

I do love Ringtons tea and Twinnings everyday tea.

My favourite is Tetley, with Tesco's Finest range of teabags coming a close second.

Loose tea is far superior to bag tea (sweepings off the floor).

The tea to use depends on your water. If it is hard water then Assam is best. If the water is soft then you have more choice.

Does that matter? Tea is tea, be it sweepings or not.

I've had both loose tea and bag tea, and enjoyed both.

I use loose tea day-to-day - which I get at The Mecca tea merchants in Aberystwyth.

Their English breakfast blend is superb.

I also like Marks and Spencer Gold Tea Bags
which provide a lovely rich but mellow cuppa.

For regular teabags, Clipper Organic, then Tetley are my favourites. I know I should be into loose tea but I am lazy.

I'm definitely going to give Yorkshire tea a bash after reading this thread.
I tried it via a free sample that you can get from their website as I was curious, and actually hated it

Think I'll get the free sample instead of parting with cash.

Twinings also offers some free samples on their website if you want to try some more different teas.

I love tea and have lots of different kinds. I need one of those tea cases.
