Inspired by the 2009 thread, this thread'll rank the couples in the order the jduges placed them by judge instead of celebrity, so you can see how each judge ranked the couples rather than as a group.

I really don't get why Felicity was scored ahead of Goldie. I didn't notice at the time but Len scored Goldie above Felicity which I think was right. TBF out of all four, I think I agree with Len's rankings above the others.

I like the way that Craig actually realises there are paddles below 5 - at this stage it's important to distinguish the good from the also rans. Having said that not sure why he gave Patsy & Scott the same score.

Yep - sorry about that. I was determined not to make any mistakes this season. That lasted one show.

Revised table for Craig.

I think Craig was the most realistic last night.

Bruno & Alesha left themselves no room to manouvre by giving Felicity 7s.

Craig was spot on. Bruno and Alesha (stunning as always) were too generous.
Craig's comments may seem a bit harsh, but he's the only one that precisely points out where things went wrong and what the couples have to work on.

Len really does work on the basis of eight=brilliant, five=rubbish doesn't he? Moving on a scale to nine/six by week four, ten/seven by week seven, and ten/nine in the final.

I love how he thinks it makes him the nice judge, when he is actually being utterly unfair on all the people he clusters together on the same mark despite there being a clear difference in standard.

Think Craig was a bit harsh to mark Ann and Paul on the same score. I also think he undermarked Patsy against Peter.

Felicity only as good as Ann and Paul?! Patsy again seems a bit low IMO. I think Scott should've been ranked above Tina and Jimi.

Patsy again undermarked IMO. Gavin was good, but not as good as Scott or Pamela at the waltz. Tina was better than Peter as well IMO.

Felicity was overmarked against who she shares the score with. Goldie was better than Ann, as was Peter IMO.

Thanks for this Fudd, I have a terrible memory for these things and it's good to see how the marking actually went compared to how I think it went.

For me Len is the only one to have Felicity in the right place and I'm surprised to find that it was actually Craig's scoring that put Goldie behind Peter in the overall scoring.

As always though I just wish that Len, Alesha & Bruno wouldn't start the marking at 5 for effort (I know that Bruno used one four but it was for Paul so hardly counts) no wonder the scoreboard is always full of ridiculous ties.

What an interesting thread. You've obviously spent a load of time on it. It certainly shows some of the odd and inconsistent scoring by Len tonight- Matt was so much better than the other three
rossyrahrah
16-10-2010
Unbelievable. Alesha thought Michelle and Gavin's rumbas were better than Jimmi's. I sometimes wonder if Craig is the only one who actually thinks about what he's doing when he sits up there.

Matt was brilliant as usual.

I like the fact that Craig remembers he's got a wide range of paddles to use. Alesha giving nine of the twelve contestants marks of 7+ is a bit ridiculous. Len's not much better.
StigOfTheKrump
16-10-2010
Len used a tiny variation of marks.
Craig's were more diverse, shall I say.

Len was definately in a grumpy mood!

I am sure he is and he made a point tonight on ITT of saying they had a range of scores from 1 to 10 so they should be used ,.

Great thread - gives us a whole new perspective.

The only way round that is to have all the scores at the end so the Judges can shuffle them if a better performance comes along.
That would mean comments only after the dances?
BuddyBontheNet

I think this is one of the best threads on this board. It really does show how inconsistent all the judges are.

Craig uses a wider range of paddles because he scores each couple based on how well they did compared with the previous week.

I used to think the other judges (including Arlene) scored by comparing the couples on the the night, but I haven't got a clue what they are doing this year!
