Loooking for an MP3 tag editor

A number of my MP3 tags are incorrect or missing and need to be updated ........I am looking for a good free program that can bulk correct them automatically.
Does such a thing exist that can connect to an online database and fix them.

thanks ..... I tried both and went for Mp3tag
It works quite well but it's still quite time consuming trying to find the correct release of an album. I guess thats the fault of the record companies releasing so many different versions of the same album rather than a fault with the program though.

Yes I agree, it is especially difficult if the file names are not standard.

I normally use the Freedb with 'Choose from selected files'.

I use Tag and rename. It's not free (£30) and could be easier - but it does the job.

Thanks but.....
If I had a lot of fles to fix and it was a really good program then i would pay for something....but I haven't got many to sort out so
I would rather save the money.

Tagtuner is my choice., As long as the files are in the correct order and there are the right amount of them, it'll query the database and offer you tag selections which you can choose and then implement, including, if available, cover art.

So if for instance you highlight all the songs on say Coldplay's "Parachutes" album, and they're in the right order, it should find the album and allow you to update the tags.

It's not free, but you can use it for 30 days and then decide if you want to buy it.

Mp3tag does that too plus is allows you to put them in order if they are not in order, it uses Freedb and is free.

Have you tried it? If so what was the main thing that put you off compared to tagtuner?
