Nope, nor do I know why he was wearing tartan, unless tartan is accepted universal shorthand for 'the countryside'. Or maybe wardrobe are just a bit thick and think that Co Durham is in Scotland (although being from the north-east myself I'd have to say that if they are that geographically challenged they're far from alone, as I've had to patiently explain many times in my life that no, I am quite sure that Newcastle is not in Scotland....)

They had a dog blanket leftover from Blue Peter perhaps?

I think, not sure, that the waistcoat was an attempt at one of the things you wear in the country for shootin', with suede shoulder patches to protect you from gun recoil. He may need that if Aliona gets fierce.

She appeared to be wearing protection too. I've seen bomb disposal people wearing something similar in front of their groins. Not tartan though.

Weird does not describe it.

Kristina's outfit - horrendous

There was a pic of Tina in dress rehearsal on twitter. She was quite far away but the dress looked pink and short.

Jareds outfit tonight was horrendous - those trousers, and I wasn't too keen on Flavias outfit either.

I, for one, will never look at a tin of Quality Street in the same way again.

Shilts - a football on the breast pocket.
Gavin - Prince of Wales feathers likewise.
Obvious? Hah!
Jimi's outfit - far too baggy.
Widders OK.
Michelle? Poor lass. So skinny. The skirt should have been longer but did she dance badly or WHAT????

JImmis out fit was way to baggy didn't suit him at all

What was up with Jared's trousers - sagging at the crotch, baggy round the hems, and cutting off the circulation in between.

Also, those boleros just accentuate the fact that Widdy's bosoms are at waist level.

Definitely the worst male outfit of the week, felt like such an old lady shouting at the tv that they should have tucked his shirt in

And the shirt was far too long.

The smaller and tighter Jimi's clothes are the better imo

Well, I was going to say that it was nice to see Tess in something with some colour this evening, but then I realised she's gone for the one shoulder boulder holder look again. Someone in wardrobe must really not like her. She constantly shifts her weight from one leg to the other, so the one shoulder thing looks uneven for all the wrong reasons all the time.

Pretty colour dress mind you, just wish she'd go for a more 'even' look.

The cuffs were over his hands like a teen ager who pulls the hoodie sleeve down too far .,

Seriously. Have they replaced the whole wardrobe team?

Can't wait to see Hilary Alexanders comments on the outfits on ITT.

What does anyone think the theme is for this year? My guess-Wardrobe dept pay cut= hacked off.

Yes & the hair on the ladies was not as precise & elaborate as in previous series. Yesterday poor Patsy looked like she'd been out in a storm & tried to pin her own bun without a mirror . What with the dress of diz-ars-ter that made her look like a fat frump & she is so not; she had no hope (Letitia Dean comes to mind).
Anne's glittery cardigan was the pits, Jimmi's top too big, Michelle looked like a lollipop, Kara tripped on the wierd flaps hanging down & at the end looked like her choker was strangling her (although I'll say she's gonna give Kristina & Ola a run for their money in the sex-kitten arena). The only ones that made an impact on me looking lovely & them getting it right were Pamela & Felicity.
Oh & the new dancers, one looked like a tramp & the other from the 'hood .
Have they sacked half the staff support to pay Brucies wages?

Perhaps he's lost a few pounds these last two weeks - he has worked hard and sweated loads. The shirt was probably made ages ago and there wasn't time to alter it. Hopefully they'll check the others!

Same here! It definitely added to the scarecrow vibe that CRH was on about - it made him look sloppy.

Kara's outfit was beyond dreadful - she looked like a hooker. I felt so sorry for her as I felt it was humiliating. And Jimmi - good grief couldn't they have found a shirt that fitted him? Then there was poor Ann in what looked like pink PVC.

Yes - tweed-like tartan-esque patterns on Matt was rather predictable....

Looks like it, doesn't it

They've changed the hair stylists, so possibly...

It was truly dreadful, it's like they noticed that she looked far to pretty in her photoshoot outfit and had to do something about it. The lipstick was a really weird shade as well.

Spooky - I just made the exact same point about Kara on another thread!

I think wardrobe has been given a brief to 'go sexy' yet can't quite get to grips with what that is. It's certainly not slut chic - and, judging by what Kara herself said tonight, I suspect she'd agree.

Producers: 0 points on this front!

Raspberry Ripple, straight from the ice cream van.... disaster topped off by that cardigan-esque 'thing'.

** EPIC WARDROBE FAIL **
