There you go then. Quit your whining and take your smacked arse like a man.

None of us like what the carriers are up to, and we all complain about the restrictions, but to brag about bucking the system one week and then cry like a baby at a later date when you get sprung beggars belief frankly. No sympathy. Soz

So you have a few choices, if you only want to use it for light / occasional streaming then O2 is fine, otherwise you have to use wifi or switch to another network which has a fixed limit like 1GB / 3 GB which you can get from 3 / vodafone.

The other option is GiffGaff which operates on the O2 network and is fully owned by O2. They are trying to attract new subscribers and using unlimited internet as a perk of signing up, however this won't last.

The new o2 contracts since 24th June have new T&Cs and no restrictions as such on streaming but they do have a cap on the data. So you won't be able to stream very much anyway unless you buy extra data bolt-ons.

Indeed. That probably wouldn't last the OP 1 hour

Although the monthly allowance depends on the Tariff and you can increase that in blocks of 500mb for a fiver or something. http://shop.o2.co.uk/new-iphone/DataAllow500.html

First of all gloats on an internet forum about literally raping his internet connection with multiple gigabytes of data in just 1 week saying "..and they'll be more next week".

Then comes back crying when the network tells him he has to drastically reduce his usage or face having his data cut off...

genius.”

I didn't put two and two together at first!

Lets face it, the days of using GBs worth of data for a flat fee are gone on all networks. If all the heavy users end up on Giff Gaff it won't won't last long there either.

Not by the O2 T&Cs from what I can see unless you use it continuously.

Under the Orange T&Cs that I am signed up to, I am not allowed to use Youtube at all (or any non-Orange streaming service) or any instant messenger. Even though they sold me an Orange branded phone with built in apps for those. I guess they would argue I can use it over WiFi?

You know what? I think Giff Gaff is a honey trap set up by O2 to suck heavy users off their old attractive O2/Be contracts and then sell them up the river when GG is closed down.

Admittedly, I only use so much because it's unlimited *

Just out of interest (I can't see it on O2 website) - do O2 still do iPhone tethering? And if so, how much are the packages?
