I agree. I wasn't expecting her to be that good.

She did OK, thought she would be marked down due to the fall, and end up about halfway on the board but she did look HOT!!

What a shame she got the heel in her dress caught, but a very good way they tried to disguise it, I actually liked them

I think the judges see great potential and with the dance off gone if the public does not take to her she could be eliminated.

I thought they were actually quite good. Sometimes you can make mistake but still be better than people who don't make mistakes. This year, I quite like most of the people, I don't like the Eastender soap star and Natalie and Gavin, but otherwise they all seem fine.

Actually she looked inhibited by that little fall. The talent, and her confidence otherwise, is obvious.

I thought Gavin and Katya were better. Kara is a good dancer, but that routine did her no favours and she looked a mess. I felt sorry for her after her fall, it wasn't her fault, but no way did that routine deserve 30!

The judges are going to turn her into Lisa Snowdon if they're not careful, and with no dance-off they won't have the chance to force her into the final. She has the potential to get there of her own merit, but if the judges keep inflating her marks, the public will turn against her I fear.

Kara reminded me a little of Ali.

I'm sure she was technically very precise (apart from the stumble), but I failed to get excited by her routine. The outfit, the attraction between her and Artem, the whole build up ended on a bit of an anti climax for me.

Sorry I cannot agree with you. It's always difficult to compare a cha cha cha and a waltz, and I enjoyed her performance more than Gavin's. I think her potential was clear even if she didn't deliver on everything.

What a surprise, the judges being so favourable to BBC staff or recent ex staff!

But they should mark on performance not potential and unfortunately that wardrobe mishap did affect the performance so the 8s from Len and Alesha were totally undeserved.

I think she's very good and might be a genuine contender - but if the public sniff favouritism it could affect her chances.

A dress malfunction isn't her fault as they dont perform in costume in training, and I thought she recovered well.

IMO, she is the best dancer we have seen and that was a very good routine by Artem. Giggling dominatrix didn't work, but her dancing made up for it - I thought it was great.

I think some people are forgetting that Kara had half the time as everybody else to rehearse.

Yes I was wondering who was going to be the Zoe/Emma/Kelly/Lisa/Ali for this year. Looks like Kara could be it. Shame really but the judges never learn do they

Kara is great. I liked her dancing. But I hated the look. She is such a pretty girl I would have preferred her to emphasise the fun, flirty side of the cha cha. As previously stated it was a bit dominatrix.

I find it difficult to compare the cha cha cha to the waltz, especially in the first couple of weeks, but for me Kara ended up in the right place on the leaderboard. She was obviously put off a bit by the early costume malfunction and mistake and so it took a while to get any confidence back, but her technique was very good for the first week and she gave as much performance as any of the others. I'd say she did the second best cha cha cha of the two nights even with the mistake, especially as most of the other dancers made mistakes in their routines as well.

And that despite the fact that I hated both their costumes and was hideously distracted by them for the first few bars of the routine!

You're right it wasn't her fault and right that she recovered well when you consider how many fall to pieces after one mishap or mistake. However that being said it did affect the overall performance and I think the marks should have reflected that. She really doesn't need allowances from the judges.

She is clearly a very good dancer and without further misfortune she will prove very difficult to beat (though I hope Jimi's got it in him).

I don't think the trip had anything to do with rehearsal time - she was very good anyway - though tbf if Kara was penalised for previous experience why wasn't Matt?
