Hi folks,

Does anyone own an iphone 4 on orange and if so could you let me know how it performs?

I'm due for an upgrade next week but my contract expires in January and some people have said the iphone is better on o2 so not sure what to do!

Any suggestions appreciated

Thanks.

I have the iPhone 3GS on Orange at moment and will be getting my iPhone 4 with them soon aswell, never had any problems!

My brother and mother both have iPhone 4's with Orange aswell and had no problems and internet browsing is very fast and get alot of benefits. My other brother has an iPhone 4 on O2 and has had endless problems since he has got it and is now going to Ofcom.

This is going to be one of those threads that doesn't really help you I think.

There will be people FOR Orange and those against/pro another network.

I personally have no experience of Orange however I have 1 friend who is on Orange who has had NO problems at all. Another friend on Orange has had nothing BUT problems and cannot wait to change networks.

I have had an o2 contract for all of 3 days (no signal where I live) so went to Vodafone. They were ok, JUST ok. Moved onto 3 network and have been with them for many years now and will be renewing with them on FRIDAY (am so excited I can't WAIT lol). Again, others will say 3 are useless/crap/total waste of space... yet I have had no trouble with the network itself. Got to admit I did have a couple of handset issues that were resolved pretty quickly.

The end of the day it's going to be down to personal preference really.

i've been looking at getting an iphone and going contract from my orange pay as you go account but wonder if 750mb data each month is enough for general web browsing etc.

what about 3, as they have a good deal on iphone 4 16gig ?

For just a general bit of web browsing on the iPhone, 750mb will definitely be more than enough.

And who in their right mind just uses an iPhone for just "a general bit of web browsing"?

I upgraded to an iphone 4 on Orange and received my phone yeaterday. So far so good, I have not had any bad reception issues. The reception is the same as with my SE C905 which is great.

my 2 cents worth

I'm with orange had iPhone 4 since launch day, overall not had any major issues, theres been one major network fault which deactivated a lot of customers and data fault (their end) but overall it's been good an signal of late (due to the t-mobile/orange merger) has improved, in my house I would mainly get gprs upstairs now I can get 3G most of the time upsatirs with 2/3 bars, downstairs (which I blame my house for I think lol) I get no signal.

The iPhone 4 itself I have no really complaints with besides the obvious antenna issue but hey I seem to be doing ok with a bumper on other than that I cant really say I could ask for much more from it.
