That's as maybe. I think that Anton got her as his partner to teach him a lesson after his faux pas last year
On the contrary, I think the producers hold Anton in high esteem. I'm guessing that he was specially picked to partner Widdy as this season's comedy couple The attention will be pretty much on them, the difference between them in height is hilarious.
And it WAS only a faux pas, there was no malice intended. No reason for him to be punished.

I think Anne is a better dancer than John. John also took it quite seriously, which was worrying! At least Anne laughs at herself.

Harsh. She's a former politician so her politcal views are publicly known. But do you know any of the other contestants political views? Who's to say Matt isn't a facist for example (I'm not in any way suggesing he is before people start giving me grief!). If anything, at least she's being herself and not hiding behind her public image and I like that.

It wouldn't surprise me if the public kept her in for a bit, At least she can stand up to Craig!
But she's a politician which means her political views aren't merely the beliefs that she holds as Matt's would be, but the basis of her career and profile. She has also acted on those views in parliament to try and deny equal rights for gay people by both speaking against and voting against them on every opportunity, even going so far as to propose bills banning the *promotion* of homosexuality ie mentioning it in schools.
That makes her a bigot in my view and no amount of dressing her up in a sparkly frock is going to make her appealing to me.

JS was good value to begin with but it went on too long.
He was or became lazy, relying on the animosity towards the judges to keep him in instead of trying his best which would have been all the public would have asked of him.

Ann is doing her best, working hard and I'm sure will accept her elimination with good grace when she can no longer give the performance necessary.
