Has anyone else experienced drastic loss of signal after updating to Android 2.2 Froyo. It may be coincidence and maybe there is a transmitter down somewhere but it is really annoying me now.

It works sometimes but just drops right off. I have been trying to use the wifi hotspot that i heard so many good things about but there is no signal and won't connect.

My wife had to send her desire back to 3 network twice when it caused problems with hers but it is working lovely now, I am dead jealous of hers

The network is orange. signal and mobile network was fine before update.

Any tips or advice gratefully received

This will be down to the radio version they pushed out with the 2.2 update. If i recall there were issues as you describe with it. HTC pushed out a fix for unbranded handsets a couple of weeks ago which upgraded the radio software again.

Thanks for the reply. Is this a fix that is available now? if so where can i get it?

Or Is this something that orange will eventually roll out and i will have to wait until enough people complain?
