As others have said... the ratings would disagree with you.

Sorry but I have to laugh at the OP, Apparently He/She hasn't watched the show for the last 3 years, but feels the need to log in on here to tell us all

Yes.

One might almost ask "What's the point of watching any more?"

Why should a forum be just about positive stuff, the strictly forum isn't a appreciation forum, well if it is, I certainly must of missed that. I just wanted to know from the horses mouth what people still get from the show and if interest is dwindling or increases as it now seems to be. well on here anyhow.

Anyone agree?”

No, I think you should move to the Dr Who/Torchwood thread and continue your pointless meanderings on there.

Here the first two shows produced a priceless comedy turn (Ann and Anton) and Bruce's intro 'cockroaches' dance has mercifully been cut, and his jokes tamed, and Tess's dresses were fine, and we got to see some more feet in the dance routines.

Oh, and what do you mean "it's just dancing and it is quite dull"
. - off you pop to pastures elsewhere and leave the rest of us to enjoy the rejuvenated show.

I do like Doc Who, not Torchwood, not a fan of Mr Barrowman to be honest so never watched that. No seriously I just came on here, not to cause any harm or upset a genuine fan, just to really try and understand from a fan and dance obsessive their views on why the show is so hugely popular when it at the end of the day is dancing. Some people talk about it like it's life and death. Dull I've explained earlier was a wrong word to use and I meant the concept on paper about a show with ballroom dancing in this century did seem like it might not have mass appeal. Can you honestly say that you were are not shocked on his global popularity.

You say pop off, why, why do I have to, forums are not just about only positive things surely, if everyone had the exact same opinion, agreeing and loving everything, it would be more pointless coming here wouldn't it.

No this forum shouldn't be "just about positive stuff". What's more worrying though are the number of sycophantic threads on here by some of the weird and wonderful pro and celeb stalkers. Anyway you can see on here that interest hasn't faded, just by looking at the number of threads/posts. No need to post a whole new thread on it. The fact you are posting means there is still great interest in it, even by you

Yeah true but my interest is more about the interest of the interested of the show. I'm not per-say interested in the show no more and well I never was that interested in the first place too much when all the interest originally started for the show. I merely just want to work out just how much of the interest if any interest has been lost on the show. My conclusions are there is still huge interest in the show and lots of passion for ballroom dancing in a television environment. It would be good if I could do a degree on this subject, the interest of how many are interested in Strictly. I have a lot of interest in it.

Anyone's opinion changed after week 2. I saw a bit of Anne and must say, she was very entertaining to watch and I like her personality, she is inspirational. OK she may not be the world greatest dancer but she tries her best, I wish her well anyway. Didn't see much of the show last night, I think I've worked out what irritates me more though with the show, it's the commentator when he says anything, always say the judges names, I think it would be better without all that.
