if you look at michelles cha cha cha again it not actually that bad. its just not as good as we thought she would be. i think we all expected her to come out and be like alesha or jill.

but she actually didnt do that bad. yes there are things to work on like her arms. but i think she could be great.

Sorry, have to disagree. Didn't see much cha cha cha in her performance and there was a noticable lack of hip movement (which I think was commented on).

Sorry again disagree, her legs were bent a lot, hardly if any hip movement, she was gangle, stiff and awkward, she could possibly do better in ballroom, as the long dress will cover her legs and she wont or should not wobble all over the shop

It was terrible. Do you think she realises how bad she is? I had the impression she thinks she was good when it was grim.

She was bad. No strength in the spine. No strength in the legs. She may be better at ballroom. She has no hips to achieve hip-action WITH. Not worth a re-watch.

I had the impression she'd been imbibing a bit more than mineral water before the show!

I think Michelle suffered a bit from huge expectations. It was an average dance, nothing spectacular with some technical issues which was reflected in her scores but from some of the comments on here you would think it was the worst cha cha ever seen.

My housemate and I also wondered if both she and Brendan had been drinking a bit before the show. I think it was when they both started calling out when sat in Tess' area. I expect she's just high-spirited though. Er, no pun intended.

This. She seemed to be like a rag doll on speed. Her limb control was the main problem. All over the place.

She was wearing too high heels and was overbalancing because her feet were turned in not out , a basic mistake Brendan should have ensured she corrected .

There was very little content in most of the chachas, Matt's and Kara's being the exception.

Were Alesha and Jill fantastically good in week one?

I thought there was a lot of content in Flavia and Jimis too. Obviously he didn't cope with it quite as well as the other two but it was a challenging routine.

They were both a lot better than Michelle.

I think she did it on purpose so people wouldn't start threads saying "Of course she's good, she has been dancing with Destiny's Child for years and must have had lessons and been choreographed so it's a fix." Now she can go through a journey of sheer hard work and bloody mindedness and astound us all with her development.

Don't think she will last that long as she won't have the fan base to keep her in. A lot of people don't have a clue who she is.

Hi Arddy!

This! A lot of the girls had heels on that were too high- I am surprised that Len didn't say anything about it- Felicity really suffered on Friday night too.

Just my own humble opinion, but yes, I thought Jill was fantastic right from the start. Her only ropey dance was the tango, which Len described as being like a minestrone with 'funny bits floating around in it' or something similar.

not trying to sound too like Len but Michelle's arms and legs are too long and spindly to be a great dancer she had no control over them

No she wasn't that bad, she didn't have enough power or hip movement, but she did have basic rhythm. IMO, people are over-exaggerating

I don't think her VT helped. It made the whole thing much more cringeworthy. She didn't seem to realise that she wasn't very good.

I didn't think it was "cringeworthy" at all. Her dancing wasn't as good as she thought it was (nothing embarrassing about that, this happens with most celebrities on SCD at some point) The judges gave her constructive criticism, that she graciously 'took on the chin.'

What was wrong with her VT? She just seemed to be having fun with Brendan?

I think she seemed arrogant in her VT. British people don't really like that at all. At the end of her dance, she seemed to think she had done well. The comments were a total shock to her. I hope she calms down and puts the work in.

I agree. But I think Brendan has got his work cut out this year. I am not a fan of his, but even I feel sorry for him!

Gotta say Michelle Williams' Cha Cha was a big letdown was expecting a lot more from her. I just hope she improves, which im sure she will.
