Didn't notice a thread, so thought I'd make one:

Ratings Trivia
Below are official series averages' from BARB, which tend to be higher than the overnight figures. BBC HD included from November 2008 where Strictly is listed in the Top 10.
1) 2004 - 6.45m (May to July)
2) 2004 - 8.61m (October to December)
3) 2005 - 8.28m
4) 2006 - 8.55m
5) 2007 - 8.88m
6) 2008 - 9.53m
7) 2009 - 9.35m

Overall very solidly around the 9m mark.

And initial ratings for this year suggests Strictly Come Dancing will exceed ratings from the past 2 years:

Launch Show
Overnight - 7.1m (37.5%)
Official - 7.73m

1st Live Weekend
Friday - 9.0m (38.2%)
Saturday - 8.7m (41.6%)

Both of these will definitely be over 9 million in the official ratings.

And there was enough talent as well as fun to persuade viewers to come back again next week I think. Who will be able to resist watching Anne Widdecombe perform a Salsa?

Out of curiosity, do we know what the viewing figures for X Factor are?

Chav-Factor is still significantly higher in viewing figures. Like around 11 million or something.

Wonder what's the appeal of that show?!
