I am slightly bemused Veri that of all the males you enjoyed Peter the most - I found his routine the most forgettable out of all the male celebrities.

Personally i think you need to give people a few weeks before making definitive judgements. I am enjoying quite a few of the couples & in others I see some potential even if they didn't quite deliver in their 1st dance. I'm sure in time a few faves will emerge whom I will follow with great interest. At the moment I really like Matt, Pamela, Kara & Scott but that could change.

I like your mum.

I'm pretty good at FF-ing.

There are different dance shows for different genres if you want to see different dancing.”

I think you're misunderstood my post, and I can see where it wasn't as clear as it should have been.

I meant their potential was to be like dancers I didn't find interesting in other years.

For example, let's suppose Gavin turns out to be as good as Austin. (They even have similar names!) That gets a  from me. I didn't mind Austin, but I wouldn't have found it a great loss to miss all his dances.

So the problem wasn't that they wouldn't bring anything radically different or new. That's fine, and I don't expect anything that different in SCD, though some of the choreography and performances have been unusual enough to be interesting because of it.

The problem is that they'd be like people I already knew I didn't find very interesting or very worth watching.

Of course, I could be wrong, and I may change my mind about some of them. If forum comments suggest that a dance I'd skipped was one that might interest me, I may check it out.

“And just as a side note, the rugby player danced on Saturday. I assume he wasn't one of your 4 picks, so I can only conclude from that that you like 2 or 3 people who haven't got a hope of giving you the different show you crave because they're just not good in the genre they danced on Saturday. If you gave those who showed potential in the genre they danced this week a chance to impress in the other genre, then you might find some people who will be around for a long way into the show and may have a chance to surprise you. It's a shame to write anyone off completely at this stage unless technically they were so bad they cannot improve quick enough, which only applies to a couple of this year's contestants, from both nights.”

My writing them off is not because of anything related to the genre, or with being technically bad. (I liked Peter, for example, who was technically bad.)

I'm enjoying those four too, but I'll also add the wonderful Anne

It Takes Two ...

Felicity is incredibly irritating.

And Jimi! Even the brief glimpse of him on ITT was too much.

I think you're suffering from an acute state of toomuchteevee-itis Veri. Your intolerance levels for light entertainment programmes are dangerously high and I recommend you settle down to a damn good film to reset your juices and get them flowing in the right direction

I would recommend East is East, but.......lolol

You could well be right. That actually makes a lot of sense.

I have waited a whole year for strictly to come around again and have been suffering withdrawal symptoms since it ended last Christmas!!! So I am going to enjoy every single minute of this show. I wil enjoy the bad as well as the good dancers and I will also record them so I can watch again.
