What are the features of this Tesco app?

Is it just being able to scan as a clubcard and see how many points you have?

If so I created a similar Android app for the Subway Subcard which was only avalilble oniPhone. Details of the app is here- http://www.appbrain.com/app/subway-subcard/com.subcard or search on the market for Subcard to download it.

If I can work out some of the calls to the server the Tesco Iphone app makes I may be able to create one for Android.

The same as the BBC, they have iPhone apps, and they even managed to get an iPad app out a week or so after the device was launched despite promising an Android app before the iPad was released. Yet still there's no sign of an Android app on the horizon despite their constant promises.

Then again, the cynic in still maintains that the BBC gets a few backhanders from Apple to push their products to the fore.

Far from it, with the official app you can search products and the app tells you which isle and shelf the product is for a particular store - i have a card app already.

Thanks will take a look at it!

Made a basic clubcard app, search for Clubcard in the Market.

If you enter your Clubcard number it shows the barcode, if you enter your Postcode as well then it will show your current balance.

Due to a limitation with Tesco tills, it doesnt work on self service, hand baskets only or in Tesco Express.

AFAIK it only works on UK regular Clubcard numbers.

To use the balance feature your clubcard must be registered with Tesco and not be a temporary card.

That version didn't work with 7 digit postcodes, I have created a new version but you will need to uninstall and search for it on the Market again instead of updating.

Sorry - its because of a problem I had with the Market Developer Console for some reading adding 5 screenshots to my App and then it crashing the Market when clicked on.
